Sky Canyon Animal Hospital in Murrieta, California, was founded in 2014 by Dr. Gary Haver, who also owns and operates Surfside Animal Hospital; Surfside Pet Resort and Grooming; and Classy K9 Clips, all located in Oceanside, California. Dr. Haver has dedicated his life to animal welfare. He first began working in animal hospitals at age 14 and has been serving as a veterinarian since 1996.
He has devoted much of his time to volunteering at animal shelters in the San Diego area and brings to his practices a deep understanding of the needs of the pet families in our local communities. Sky Canyon Animal Hospital is way better than other veteranarians, because they offer more reasonable options for my dog's dental heath. The other place wanted to charge me almost $1,000 to anesthetize my dog for his teeth cleaning. He's only 4 years old, he doesn't need any teeth pulled & he's very easy to work with. Sky Canyon Animal Hospital recognized all these things & didn't try to gauge me. I'm going to be paying a quarter of what the other place wanted to charge me. Also, they have a regular teeth cleaning service with various options to pick from according to the frequency of cleanings

This is just a thank you! My girl Bella has been suffering from a persistent ear infection. After original treatment plan didn't work, probably user error, her ear infection got worse. I had already set up a follow up appointment for next week because I wasn't seeing much improvement. This Saturday though, my girl woke up in terrible pain. Her ear infection had worsened, she yelped as she shook her head. I immediately called the office to see if they had any cancellations so that they could move up her appointment. The tech said no openings were available but placed me on hold to see

I noticed there are a couple of bad reviews. That was a concern for me when I was looking for a place to have my rescue pup spayed. However, even the best of places will have occasional problems. I booked the appointment and have to say that I am thrilled I did. Not only was the op a complete success, the stitching was perfect and my dog was back to normal in 2 days. The service was exceptional and a wonderful lady called the next day to check in on Molly and see how she was doing. I cannot recommend this place enough. The prices are unbeatable, the surgery is amazing, and the follow-up service

My sisters Cat went missing, and she was relieved to hear from Sky animal hospital, when they called to say that somebody had found their cat they were able to locate my sister because of the chip. Instead of hanging onto the cat they released the cat to a family that the cat does not belong to, and now the family is unresponsive and will not return the cat back to my sister.

Took six weeks to get an available surgery date. The day prior they called and confirmed the 9am appointment. I show up as scheduled to be told the Vet has a phone meeting and can I come back in 2 hours, I couldn’t just drop off my dog because he is aggressive and they needed me to be there to hold him for sedation. Two hours later I come back and they say the Vet is still on his phone meeting and can I come back in another hour, at that time I decide that my dog’s health and well-being isn’t important to them so I cancel and leave. Apparently appointments are only for their convenience and

The process is easy and they care for your animal. I took my puppy to get vaccinated on a Saturday. You call the number once you are out front. Ask to get on the vaccination list. You may want to ask how long the wait is. Relax in your car or walk your pet around.
They will come out to your car with a clipboard to fill out your pets info. They take your animal in and bring him/her back out. Pay by cash or card. Done!

I took my chihuahua here a few years ago for a rabies vaccine and they took good care of him at a great price as well!
I recently returned to take my new puppy, Bentley to get spayed and they also took good care of her. Just note that with covid, we weren't allowed inside so we just had to call and they'll come outside for the drop off and pickup. They also took good care of her and I thought it was very nice that the doctor called me in a few days to check up on her, she's doing well and recovering nicely! Amazing care and customer service. My primary vet is closed due to a COVID outbreak and I had taken my dog to the emergency VCA in town only to have them charge me a bunch of money and whatever they did made my dog sicker. I called Sky Canyon and asked if they could fit me in day of and they kindly understood my situation and scheduled me that evening. Within 30 minutes of seeing my dog I had a diagnosis, plan and understood what I needed to do to make him better. They even scheduled a follow up the next morning to make sure he looked better at no extra charge. I am SO thankful for Dr. Ashley Reynolds

Very upset with this animal clinics new "protocols with Covid" mind you nothing is said about this when u make a apt for your animal or I would have gone elsewhere. You now can't walk inside, you sit in your car (my case for 45 min before anyone came out) tech comes out to you and exams animal, then tech brings your animal into the dr!!!! You CAN NOT go in with your pet!!!! Even with a MASK on!!! Complete bs

Brought my two dogs here for overdue shots and vet exams because of the pandemic. We were able to book an appointment for a couple of days after I had called.
Jessie came out to our car to pick up my dogs. He communicated with us well and kept us informed and updated on what the vet was recommending.
It seemed the vet techs were quick in keeping the schedule following. We spent literally an hour in our car waiting for our two dogs to be seen and cared for.
Prices were affordable. Will likely be back to have my girl spayed.

On Sat. June 20th, I walked in for an emergency visit for my dog, Mak. I brought him in because of seizures and on that day gil your veterinarian recommended to have him put to sleep. Reluctantly, we agreed to go through with it because the only option given was to euthanize. When it was time to pay, I was sold on also purchasing a "peaceful paw print" of my pet. I was told that I would be contacted in a week to come by and pick it up. Sadly it's been almost 2 weeks and I haven't heard back from anyone. Your speedy response would be greatly appreciated.

I just moved to Menifee, like literally 2 days ago when my almost 14-year-old dog decides to get a bout of severe, persistent, BLOODY diarrhea. My old vet is over an hour away and the emergency vet told me it would be a very long wait since they were only seeing level 1 traumas. I called Sky Canyon and the tech on the phone went out of her way to… squeeze me in (even as a new patient!) Once there, they were clean, professional, and despite it being very busy, they got me into a room pretty quickly. Dr. Haver continued the theme of going above and beyond by sitting on the floor with my dog

I cannot believe how phoney and insensitive this place is!!! They act like they care but when it comes to the end of life of your pet they are all about the law and rules. No hugs, no love. I have had pets since the age of 7 and every Vet was sensitive, gave us time to grieve, gave hugs, SENT SYMPATHY CARDS AND CALLED THE NEXT DAY! Personal attention. Nothing from this place. Money, hungry fake insensitive place. NEVER RECOMMEND.

What an amazing office. They truly care about animals here. We had our sons dog neutered there, wonderful staff. Then we had to put down our beloved dog due to heart failure. They accommodated us like no one else would. We were able to stay in the car with her until a room was ready. They were absolutely sympathetic, and even mailed us a card the whole office signed. We will use them for our next pups when we get one.

Great staff! They were so informative, patient and compassionate. My dog broke her bottom canine tooth and most places won't treat your dog for that.... they cleaned her teeth and extracted the broken tooth. The entire staff was helpful and showed concern for my dog. It was reasonably priced ($800 out the door including meds), they have canned dog food so I didn't have to make an extra stop at the pet store. They even called me the day after surgery to see how my she was doing.
