This summer, my basement leaked two times given the record-rainfall across the region. Basement Innovations was referred to me by a neighbor, and selected as one of many options to take care of all of my basement waterproofing. Chris, the project manager, was thorough, responsive, and honest from the jump. The crew came out on time, professional, and communicative about all installation progress. Brian, the owner, checked in throughout the whole process, and I couldn’t be more impressed with this company. Double thumbs up for waterproofing in the DMV!

Even though the owner of the company, Brian Seligman, tried to bribe me with $100 for me to "not write a negative review and ruin our reputation," I feel it's my responsibility to let future potential clients know the mistakes Basement Innovations made in dealing with our property. Although Basement Innovations did the work they were contracted to, they took 3 days longer than promised, even though we informed them beforehand how tight our timeline was and that we had other contractors scheduled for immediately after they were done. As a result of their delay, we had to reschedule 3 other contractors

Basement Innovations did Excellent job for installing a French draining system and a Sump Pump in my basement last month. Very professional works, and great service. Their quote is also very reasonable compared to three to four other quotes that I had. Now I don’t need to worry about the heavy rain.

We hired Basement Innovations to deal with drain issue at the bottom of our outdoor basement steps. While it took them some time to come out and give an estimate, the process was painless and fast. Mike followed up pretty quickly afterwards with our options. After we settled on them, we had to wait a few weeks to schedule the work due to other jobs. I took the day off work to wait for the guys and got a call from an apologetic Brian that the crew had car issues. That was pretty annoying but they went out of their way to get the job done just a few days later (on a Saturday morning no less). The

Great service. I am a commercial architect who renovates old buildings for a living. My husband and I bought an old house and were not surprised when we gutted the basement and found the tell-tale signs of water infiltration. Actually, it was in pretty good condition considering its age. We were not flooding, but did have effervescence on the walls which means that if we insulated and refinished it - we would get mold... Now, I like my pets and my plants, but mold is not a welcome roommate.

As with any large renovation/construction work, I got 3-4 quotes before committing to the work. Basement Innovations came back to me with a very competitive quote, but what really made me choose them was their willingness to work with me to get some additional things done in the basement (patching up some cracks and installing a new dryer exhaust). Jay took the time to explain everything to me, and the extent of the work that would be done. Work was performed very quickly and in a very professional manner. I am extremely satisfied with the work!

The company replaced the whole waterproofing system of the basement and installed two pumps, additional drain from the bottom of the basement stairs, drain pipes from the basement windows, higher walls of basement window "pits".
It was a big job - the crew was working the whole day until pretty late. They were efficient, professional and helped with a couple of additional minor requests. Now I do not have to worry about the wet basement corner or a potential flooding.

For a year whenever we had a heavy rain I noticed rain seeping beneath the basement shower. It was a fiberglass shower stall that was lifted off the floor just a little bit. I would mop it up and it wouldn't cause any large problems. We decided it was time to have this fixed since it seemed to be getting worse. I got three estimates and theirs was the best for the job.
The team removed the shower stall to put in a drain along one whole wall of my house. Thankfully the rest of the wall is in an unfinished portion of the basement so it didn't affect any of the finished portion other than the shower

After our basement flooded, they were not only responsive to my request for an estimate, they didn't oversell the fix we required. From beginning to end they were professional. We had the work done about a year ago and have not had any water enter our basement since then. A couple of times I had a problem with the existing sump discharge pipe and they quickly responded to my email and came over the next day to fix it. I would wholeheartedly recommend Basement Technologies to anyone.
