Parry Chotipradit is the proud owner of Lucky Bird Tattoo. Parry is honored to be an award-winning artist and to have had his work published in many magazines around the world. Parry is best known for his large scale, unique, creative illustrated style. He enjoys creating characters, illustrating animals and caricatures of people.
Hailing from south Florida, Jeffy Scott has been tattooing since 2012 and is honored to be back with the team at Lucky Bird Tattoo in 2020. From black work and illustrative realism to pop culture and many other styles in between, Jeffy loves making each tattoo special because every tattoo is important to the person getting it.
Carl Caracia has been tattooing in the Maryland/DC area since 2009. While he does mostly floral sleeves and intricate mandalas with patterns, he also loves traditional and abstract designs. Much of his work is drawn on the skin, but he can also put together whatever specific things you like to make your tattoo unique and special.
Since 2011 Dane has been tattooing all over the U.S.A including Maryland, Colorado, Texas, and California. Happy to find himself back in Maryland, Dane continues his tattoo journey here with us at Lucky Bird Tattoo. He prides himself on his laid back and comforting attitude and we couldn't be more excited to have him join our family.

My original concept wasn’t well-suited for the half-sleeve I wanted. Carlos told me that at our first meeting, but talked me through what we could do while still incorporating the key design elements. The final work, while very different from my original idea, is gorgeous and exactly what I wanted. Carlos is an amazing artist and I can’t wait to work with him again on my next piece.

Went here to get my earlobes pierced and the service was fantastic. Super nice and knowledgeable people, they'll answer any questions you have and make your comfort their priority. This was my first time getting piercings and it was a lot smoother than I expected. It's been about 3 days and my ears haven't hurt whatsoever.

I was very disappointed with the service at this tattoo place. I got Carl not Carlos and he was rude and did not do what I asked him to tattoo. I had to ask him to fix it probably five times and I got a tattoo next to another he did not do the spacing matching with the other one at all. I would not recommend going to this place unless you want to get a tattoo you don't like.

I just got my Elder Scrolls tattoo from Tyler and it exceeded my expectations. I wish I had done more thorough research prior when selecting an artist I would have had him do my other “video game” tattoo. His style is a perfect mash-up between cartoons and realism. I highly recommend this artist.

After researching quite a few tattoo studios and artists, I finally found Lucky Bird and I’m so glad that I did. Right out of the gate, everyone I spoke to was extremely helpful and polite. It’s clear that everyone there truly takes the time to go above and beyond for their clients.
Both of my experiences at the shop were great, one for a consultation and one for the tattoo. The space is extremely clean and they take measures to ensure it stays that way as well as ensuring everyone feels safe during their visit. This includes wearing masks, routine hand washing, sanitizing, etc. Very clean

I saw Scott on 9/22 for a piercing and let me tell you, this had to be one of the best experiences I’ve had with a piercer. He was so laid back, super professional and took the time to explain everything thoroughly, which helped calm my nerves a lot. I’ve been to other places before but never had an experience like this. His apprentice was also awesome, they both just give off a very calming vibe and are extremely knowledgeable. 10/10 will forever recommend.

I made an appointment at Lucky Bird in April, based on good online reviews, to get my second hole re-pierced as it closed many years ago and I was interested in having that second piercing again. From my first phone call to the in-person appointment, everyone was very friendly and informative. The facility was very clean and you could tell they were following all COVID restrictions. After that piercing healed, I decided to go back for a third hole in each ear. Scott did my piercings both times, and he had an apprentice helping/shadowing him on both occasions. I had an appointment with Scott for piercing services and was exceptionally pleased with everything. First of all, COVID procedures are clearly being followed...when the staff is carrying out their own precautions as if by muscle memory, you know that they're really adhering to it and not just engaging in theatrics for the customer. I've had piercings before but I was pretty scared this time. There was absolutely no reason to be. Had my appointment with Walt and this was my first tattoo. The place was clean and they were following all safety precautions due to COVID (only those with appointments allowed in, everything left in plastic til right before use, etc). But really this review is about Walt, he was amazing. He talked to me before we even started so I was relaxed and comfortable. Worked with me as we got the perfect position of the tattoo. I'd lost various pieces of ear jewelry over the past few months and he not only patiently checked which ones were still open, but helped me pick appropriate new jewelry (thanks for the tiny PIA hoop) and set it all without pain or even discomfort. The receptionist was very nice very professional but informed me that he only communicates through emails so I sent a email, she gave me directions on what to say in the email I told her I wanted a full sleeve shoulder to wrist she said to include pictures so I did a week later I received the email reply from Kim? And she said he didn't feel comfortable going around the two tattoos that I have already? I emailed back Said he could cover them up, never heard from them again !

I have never been more pleased with a service business as I am with Lucky Bird Tattoo. They will accommodate to even the most skittish people and make sure they're 100% comfortable. I would know because I am terrified of needles and am prone to pass out. I called the week before and they answered all my questions. Coming in, the walls were bright blue and everything looked very clean. Nick, my piercer, sterilized everything before I even walked into where I was going to get pierced. I got pierced by Nick this past Tuesday and the experience was incredible. The shop is extremely clean, the staff are professional, and Nick went above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable. I highly recommend this shop to anyone considering a piercing or tattoo. Nick was not only personable but extremely knowledgable and confident. I will be returning here for any future work!

I got my navel pierced by Nick. He was great! He walked me through the process, explaining the tools he was going to use and keeping me comfortable by engaging in conversation with me. The girl at the front desk was so kind and helped me set up a time to get pierced and called me when a sooner time opened up. I had the most pleasant experience with Josh on a Black and gray tattoo on my shoulder blade. I had original art that a friend had made and he did an amazing job translating it into something perfect for skin and ink! His technique is great and I'm so pleased with the end result.
Josh is professional, easy to talk with, and very patient. I'm a week out and healing is going fantastic!
All around, it was a wonderful experience. The shop was super clean and everyone that I interacted with was engaging and friendly.

I was a walk in, 30-40 min wait (no biggie). The guy at the front desk was extremely friendly.
Scott was super nice and helped me pick out the location and jewelry (ring versus post) to pierce with.
He let my friend go back with me (she got a septum piercing after). Let her record it and was really good at making sure you felt comfortable. Both piercings look great, I'll add photos later.
He gave us a run down on care, did not try to salesman you into buying anything extra, and was really honest and informative.

I took my 15 year old daughter here today to get her nostril pierced. We were told by the guy at the front desk that due to Maryland state law, they couldn't pierce anyone under 16...even with a parent's permission. I had never heard of this law but whatever. We left. I got home later that evening and tried to find this law on the internet. It doesn't exist. I called a different shop and they said no law existed and they would do it as long as I was there to give consent.
I called Lady Bird back to ask about that state law. The piercer I spoke to said he thinks there is a law but

I had an amazing experience with Jeffy and Tyler. In originally sought a consult with Jeffy who referred me to Tyler based on my request. I am reworking a bunch of old tattoos to make one cohesive piece. Tyler is doing this for me and accepted the job willingly and with grace. He spent time on our first appointment sketching on my leg piece. Then he worked on outlines for an 3.5 hours. I'm now beside myself excited to see it come to fruition. It will take many more visits however I'm glad for him and the work. My outlines look amazing and in a few weeks he will be doing more

After doing extensive research, I decided to reach out to Lucky Bird Tattoo for my next tattoo masterpiece. I called the shop and was greeted by such a friendly and nice employee, Jeff.
