The mechanical abilities of ROCK 'n' ROAD Cycle staff are the heart and soul of our business. Our bikes are assembled by us to standards that make future adjustments both less frequent and easier to perform. Whenever possible, the SAME MECHANIC will take in your repair, agree with you as to the work and cost, perform the labor and explain the work when you pick up your bike.
These rides provide virtually traffic-free cycling on some of Ottawa County's most beautiful country roads. Imagine Leonard Road with more deer than SUV's!. Ride 100 kilometers through the valley of the Grand River, coffee stop in Allendale, returning well before noon for family activities. Pump tires and find your shoes the night before.

My bicycle, am old Schwinn 10 speed is now running better than ever. It was ready when promised and at the promised price. Have used one other bicycle repair place just outside of Grand Haven that took weeks to repair the same bicycle at a higher price than promised. I recommend this establishment instead.

Just visiting for the weekend and needed a new tube. Took my bike in and they had time to change the tubes and give it an entire tune up. Found out portions were wired improperly and now the bike is as good as new. Will was awesome and kept us informed regarding diagnostics and pricing throughout the process. Bike was done in a few hours, very pleased.

Speechless on the service I was provided by David. I purchased a bike for my wife and I’m from out of town and happen to be in town for the day and David not only prepped the bike immediately but came in on his day off to deliver it to me. The service was absolutely amazing as they went above and beyond. Even though I’m a hour and half away from them I will be making the drive to purchase anything I need for my bikes.

I was very disappointed with the services Rock N’ Road provided. Not only were they rude, but also not compliant with what I thought was okay when wearing a mask. All the services were provided outside. When I walked up to their outdoor tent area the man in front of me did not have a mask, and was not socially distanced. When I approached, socially distanced and without a mask the employee explained that he cannot fix my bikes unless I have a mask on. When I questioned the man before me he simply stated that I need to have a mask in order to be served. I explained that I would be happy to wear

Reid one of the owners was very friendly and helpful. Jack his assistant helped me to find a helmet and showed me how to adjust it. Reid adjusted my bike to fit me which was essential since I have had knee surgery on my right knee. He instructed me on how to use the brakes & pedals which was essential since I hadn't ridden a bike in 20 years. 😎💜

If I could give a 10 rating out of 5, I would. Matt Meyer is the epitome of customer service. We road into Grand Haven after 2 days of 100 mile rides from Chicago, and we were having some shifting and braking issues. He personally attended to both our bikes that allowed us to do 111 the next day through Muskegon (ferry to Milwaukee) and back to Chicago. Very grateful for such a kind and talented person. Great bike shop.

I bought my bike in 2018 and I recently bought my daughters bike from there this year. Customer service was okay but pushy. I felt appreciated both times.
We went in to get a tune up on a bike that we did not buy from there. We waited for 20mins. No one even acknowledge us. We understood they were busy speaking with other customers, however, as soon as a white woman walks in, they immediately assist her.
I am disappointed that I gave them my business. Never going back.

Stopped in today and bought a used bike for my 8 year old. The service was fantastic. They made sure the seat was adjusted and helped me fit it into my hatchback. Got home to Ann Arbor and of course he wanted to try out his new ride. Four hours later he's still out there and made two new friends in the neighborhood we just moved to. He just reported that this is the best day ever! Thanks Rock and Road for the great bike, great service and giving my son the "best day ever"!

A new lease on life.
I kept my 1998 Gary Fisher Tassajara since the day I bought it new. I had many adventures with that bike and could never bring myself to sell it. I kept it even though it has been an indoor trainer and a wall decoration for the last 10 years.
That is until I brought it to Rock 'n' Road and asked Reid if he could bring her back to the glory days. Reid said he'd update her components and keep it true to the original. He did more than that.
The work Reid did was AMAZING. My Tassajara honestly looks better than the day I bought it 20 years ago. And the performance is breathtaking

Girlfriend and myself bought bikes here today! We had zero intention to buy but instead merely look around and see what's out there. We were immediately greeted by the owner who was extremely helpful, friendly and funny. We didn't feel pressured at all to buy at all and we were offered a test ride to see how we like the bikes.
We ended up buying a couple cruisers and we love them. Highly recommend this establishment.

My brother, cousin, and I were blown away by how amazing this place is. Not only is price super cheap, but all of the bikes, helmets, and locks were in great shape. We had never done something like this before, so an employee named Liv helped us out with getting us the right sized bikes and helmets. She gave us pointers on the bike friendly roads nearby and was all around genuinely kind and helpful. We got our bikes in no time! Return was even easier. We gave them our names, got the bikes to the employees and we were on our way. We will definitely use this place again and recommend to everyone

The staff is well-equipped to do bike tune-ups and provide high quality bikes and accessories. However, go in knowing they're going to try to sell you on everything they own in the store (hyperbole). They could do better on customer service, especially following up with customers and making customers want to return.

My wife and I just purchased bikes for the third time so we have had prior experience. Rock-n-Road is by far the best bike shop that we have ever visited. This time we visited two different shops and decided on Rock-n-Road as the salesman, Matt was the most knowledgeable that we have ever encountered. He knew every adjustment to make sure that the bike that he suggested for my wife fit her perfectly. Went there to get a new bike for my daughter's birthday present. Had a great experience, staff was knowledgeable and extremely friendly! Their reasonable prices and professionalism will make me a repeat customer. I highly recommend this shop for anyone from your recreational to your hardcore biker. We shopped around to other stores in Holland and unless you walk in with some sort of spandex biker outfit on your not gonna get the time of day. Rock n Road is the best bike shop in Holland!

I was taking an extended bike tour around Lake Michigan and noticed some annoying, nasty, crunchy sounding noise coming from what I thought was my derrailleur. I stopped in to have it looked at not knowing that what was to follow was one of the worst customer service experiences I'd had in my 61 years...namely in the form of Tim, presumably the owner- an arrogant flamer if there ever was one.

This is a really nice place to get your bike fixed. The worker was friendly and fixed my popped tire while I waited. He also gave the bike a once over for free and assured me that the bike was in safe riding condition, which was nice as some places might try to strong arm you into needless purchases.
Their selection of bikes is mostly high-end with an emphasis on giant brand bikes. Great service. Lots of bikes to rent. I don't know if it was a mistake or just their policy, but there was no charge for helmets, which I thought was a nice touch. Prices were about the same as another shop we looked at- less than $70 for the three bikes we rented (24 hours).
