Services
At Folk Funeral Home, Inc. and Crematory, we take great pride in caring for our families, and will work tirelessly to provide you with a beautiful, lasting tribute to your loved one. In addition to the services we offer, you will receive an online memorial that you can share with family and friends.
Responding to the needs of the local communities, in 1925 J. Cecil Folk established The Folk Funeral Home and Ambulance Service, operating out of the Folk Brothers Service Station building on Elko Street in Williston. In those days, caskets were built one at a time and were fitted overnight for the deceased as the funeral was usually held the next day.
Mr. Cecil became the 64th licensed funeral director in the state of SC, and subsequently established Folk Brothers Funeral Home and Ambulance Service in Williston in 1926. Many things have changed over the years, but Folk Funeral Home has the same sweet spirit that "Granddaddy Cecil" established in the family business so many years ago.
Folk Funeral Home offers families the option of funeral pre-planning. Making these decisions today allows you to make logical, thoughtful arrangements your family will appreciate, as well as allowing you time to tend to every detail. Pre-planning your funeral can be as simple and informal as the act of writing down your preferences and sharing your wishes with a family member.
Meaningful memorialization of a loved one's passing can transform, heal, and comfort us. It highlights our loved ones' sacrifices, reminds us of the things that they value, and inspires us with their life stories. Have the Talk of a Lifetime, a program created by The Funeral and Memorial Information Council, was designed to help families have meaningful conversations about the things that matter most in their lives.

I would NEVER use this funeral home again....EVER! My father chose them for his cremation. Initially we were happy with the service provided but then it became increasingly difficult to get clear, timely responses from them. We were told that once we had set a date for the celebration of life (it was postponed due to covid-19) that they would put in in the newspaper as part of service we'd paid for. My Father's Celebration of Life was May 15th and they were supposed to have put the notification in Aiken paper and didn't. They even forgot to put it on their website with my dad's obituary.

Billy Williams, Jr., Billy Williams, III, and Letitia Stillinger, etc. do an outstanding job during a time of mourning. They take care of everything and they are extremely dependable. Their chapel is sufficiently sized, they have several large viewing rooms, and their sound system is tops. You don't have to worry about any problems with these guys. They are part of the community and take care of your loved ones because they also knew them.
