The salespeople at this business weren't wearing masks when I came into the store today. Initially I assumed that they must be vaccinated. Then it occurred to me that their masklessness could be an indicator of recklessness, so I asked. One salesperson admitted that no, he was taking his chances.
And taking ours. Is there a diamond ring at Vinhas for which you would be willing to risk contracting an infection that could dramatically lower your quality of life for weeks or months? Jewelry is expensive enough as it is.

Worst customer service you could ask for when looking for jewelers. They ignored me for most of the time I was there, and when they finally came to help, they tried to rush me out. I was only looking for something nice and affordable to my budget for my wife and just seemed like I wasn't worth their time. I ended up going to Jóias de Portugal and they were awesome. Ask for Carla or Nadia, they'll do their very best to help you, of that you can be sure!

For some reason I can not post a picture. I inherited a gold cross from my dad when he passed away. Wearing it I was afraid that I could lose it. And it is very special to me. I asked Victor Vinhas if he could make me a copy in December. I picked it up today. I could not be happier!! Thank you to all at Vinhas!!

As stated by many, they are authorized dealers of many brands.
Tag Heuer, Hamilton. Omega, Longines, Tissot, Oris, Mont Blanc, Movado, etc. The selection of each brand is great, and if I'm looking for something they may not have, they can likely source it if available from the manufacturer.

Bought a wedding ring for my wife years ago and was convinced to pay the premium for an EGL certified diamond. Was told that I'd be able to get full credit whenever I decided to upgrade. Went back a few months ago and was told that the EGL certificate is no longer good and the shady owner gave me a crazy low number for my trade-in. I simply can't recommend Vinhas. Go to a reputable jeweler, not these guys.

Their flagship boutique is presentable and very well put together.
One of the best wristwatch authorized dealers in the area. Their watch selection is really good, I purchased 3 watches from them this year (One Seiko and 2 Hamiltons). Their Montblanc timepieces are exquisite!They are dealers for Omega, TagHeuer, MontBlanc, Seiko, Citizen, Tissot, etc.. they are also the only brick and mortar store I know that carries ORIS.
Staff always helpful and will give you fair deals.
You may find the same watch for a bit less online but their deals are not bad and I rather pay a bit extra

I came here to purchase a Portuguese gold necklace and cross for my godson and found the customer service to be excellent, everyone was very friendly and helpful. I did find that the prices were slightly higher than competing jewelry stores in Newark, but the owner was willing to match the price which I really appreciated! The selection in this store is incredible, they have everything you're looking for!! I am beyond happy with Vinhas Jewelers!! They have an awesome selection of luxury brand watches such as MontBlanc, Tag Heuer, Oris, and Longinese, AND have all the latest high-end fashion watches and jewelry brands! They are literally a ONE STOP SHOP, No need to go anywhere else! I recommend EVERYONE to come to this store to do their shopping. Today 12-21-15 at 11 am I call the store at 87 Ferry st, Newark I ask them if they had Alex & Ani silver Bracelet with the NJ logo OHHH YES WE DO HAVE IT .I told the lady on the phone I'll be there at 3 pm when I am on break from work , I get there I ask one of the girls about bracelet Ohhh so sorry we don't have it , what a waste of time after battling traffic NO PARKING anywhere I had to DBL park , she just did that for me to come down to see if I buy something else . I rarely leave reviews on yelp unless iv had an exceptional experience, I walked in looking to do my xmas shopping for my wife and within a half hour Catherine my sales girl helped me get everything in one stop. She was so helpful and as soon as I explained my wife's style she made some really great suggestions.
They have an excellent and fully stocked selection of both pandora and Alex and ani which saved me from driving around town to the malls and that.
My experience at vinhas was super smooth and I walked outta of there knowing everything I purchased my wife would love.

I really wish I would have had a better experience here but I DIDN"T:
I came in to get a few watches resized and one watch fixed (but for all they know I'm there to buy something expensive). There were about 3 groups of customers in the store. One couple just finished with the a sales lady and before going back to her office, she told me: "someone will be with you in a minute". The other two sales people were busy tending to a couple of young girls and another woman.
After waiting for 10 minutes, I looked at the sales lady in the office who was probably checking on her emails
