Other factors that come into play may include your age, other health conditions, lifestyle, and treatment goals. Dr. Epstein will work closely with you to analyze your situation so that you can explore your treatment options and come up with a treatment plan that will yield you the best results. You will have access to a variety of pain treatment options to address your condition.
Find relief with minimally invasive spinal surgery under the care of a skilled neurosurgeon. If you are experiencing pain or other neurological issues due to a spinal problem, Dr. Jeffrey M. Epstein is your go-to specialist for minimally invasive spinal surgery (MIS) or pain management injections. MIS is safer and less painful than open lumbar surgery because it involves significantly less disruption to your healthy muscle tissue.
Back pain is a phrase that can be applied to many different diseases, injuries and syndromes. The most common back pain is typically located in the lower back, but it can occur in the middle and upper back as well. Back pain can be caused by injuries such as lifting objects that are too heavy or lifting improperly, structural issues involving the discs located in between the spine or from other conditions such as pregnancy.
An alternative exists to traditional open spine surgery called sacroiliac joint fusion that offers equivalent results with fewer possible risks and complications. In cases of SI joint dysfunction, chronic moderate to severe pain can be felt in the region of the lower back or the tailbone. There can also be too much or too little movement in the bone: hypermobility and hypomobility, respectively.
The spinal column is made up of individual bones called vertebra. Each vertebra has a hole in the middle that provides space for the spinal cord and in between the individual bones is a small disc-shaped cushion called an intervertebral disc. These discs are made of two layers. The nucleus pulposus is the inner layer, and it is made of a squishy, soft substance with the consistency of jelly.

I was an active mom and contributor in our work force. I have Pompe disease which is an enzyme deficiency. The name of the enzyme is acid-maltase it’s required for breaking down glucose into simple sugars to be used for energy. This disease causes muscle weakness it does not affect mental prowess. I was able to work many years with my disease until an unfortunate accident which caused a complete downward spiral in my life. Through the years I became more and more debilitated requiring walkers, scooters and power mobility devices.

Very disappointed with Dr. Jeffery Epstein. Saw him for about a year scheduling getting a pain stimulator in my back. The first thing that annoyed me was his office insisted on making and collecting a second new appointment / consult fee, because he hasn't seen me in 4-5 months (even though I was there a handful of times). Then in trying to schedule the surgery to get the trial and ultimately permanent spinal pain stimulator his booking coordinator Veronica tells me he is dropping half of his patient load and I am one of them. I was lead to believe I was getting a qualified surgeon, but now he

My experience with Dr. Epstein was wonderful! He performed my hair restoration on October 11th. Honestly, it was a painless treatment and well worth the flight to his office. Originally, I heard about Dr. Epstein on Inside Edition; he really is the best. So far, my results look great, even though I won't really get the full benefits of my procedure for at least two months more. Dr. Epstein has fantastic staff and he certainly gets my recommendation. The experience was worth every penny.
