After 12 years of practice, Dr. Soomekh founded the Foot & Ankle Specialty Group in 2013.
We specialize in the medical and surgical treatment of pathologies of the foot and ankle. This includes injuries, malformations, conditions and diseases in adults, children and seniors, as well as rehabilitation following trauma or surgery. The comprehensive range of conditions treated includes everything from ingrown toenails and bunions to sprains and fractures to diabetic foot care.
Each joint in the foot serves a specific purpose to rotate and move the bones in relationship to one another for walking. Any lack of proper movement of the joints could lead to deformity and pain. Some people are born with a genetic joining of 2 foot bones that are normally separated from each other.
When any portion of a toenail punctures the skin and begins to push into the skin as it grows, it may become and ingrown nail. They can occur in patients of all ages. In some cases, even the whole nail can be involved. The medical term is onychocryptosis or paronychia. Our toenails do not function for any purpose.

Amazing visit! Dr. Soomekh was quick and efficient but I didn’t feel like he was rushing to get through the appointment at all. He listened and made sure he understood my problem and gave me helpful tips to speed my recovery. The office is also really clean and peaceful and the staff were all really nice. Hopefully I won’t need to go back any time soon, but if I ever need a foot doctor in the future, I know where I’ll be going!

Expert care, knowledge, professionalism and a friendly manner are all ways I would describe Dr. Soomekh. I have been to other podiatrists, but was never fully happy until I started seeing Dr. Soomekh. In my most recent visit, he zeroed in on the cause of my pain and knew just what to do to relieve it. I love going to Dr. Soomekh’s office! I mean I’d love it more if I had perfect feet and didn’t have to but that’s a different story. Their office is professional, clean and organized. Dr. Soomekh is highly knowledgeable and talented in what he does! He takes his time with you, explains everything thoroughly and never rushes you out the door. I’d taken my son to Dr. Soomekh in the past and we’d had a great experience. Recently, after fracturing my foot, I ended up at a nearby big orthopedic practice. After a few weeks of subpar care and frustration, I decided to see Dr. Soomekh. He and his staff more than lived up to my expectations. Unlike the other doctor I’d seen already, Dr. Soomekh gave me his full attention and covered every detail, answered every question. Everything about my visit was pleasant, calm, and reassuring. I give my highest recommendation. Dr. Soomekh really sets the bar high. I wish more doctors were like him

Very very professional. Was able to come in same day, get diagnosed, and have a treatment. The doctor explained to me what was going on with my ankle very clearly. He also stated the potential outcomes of the treatment very clearly and accurately. I was able to complete hours of hiking that same weekend. This place is fantastic
