Everytime I walk by this restaurant it smells so good. I finally went in and had dinner; everything was yummy. They served us a chutney right away and asked us to taste to judge the heat before ordering our dishes which was genius. Serving sizes were on the larger size, we took plenty of food home. Service was great. The space was very pretty as well.

This place is awesome! The food is so good and flavorful. I got the Chicken Kabab Trio (Spicy) and it was very good. We will definitely be returning. The staff is very knowledgeable on the food and will take the time to explain everything to you. My wife got the Chicken Butter Masala and loved it. Highly recommend.

Had lunch here today and it was absolutely fantastic. The restaurant is tastefully decorated in a beautiful scheme of blue and gold that made it super cozy, and I was amazed at how delicious the food was. I was a bit scared that it would be too spicy or overpowering, but they made sure to ask how spicy we wanted it, and I found the flavors perfectly blended. I had the mixed plate (chicken and vegetable) as part of the lunch special. It was reasonably priced and a portion that left me very full. I am already planning to return to taste the dinner menu.

Out shopping on a Saturday and randomly picked this place based on online reviews. Medium sized restaurant located in Red Bank. Vinay, our server, took great care in explaining the dishes and the spice levels. We got Paneer Tilka and Chicken Angaarey for appetizers. For the main course we had Daal tadka, Spinach and Paneer kofta and Roti. Each dish was well prepared and tasty. We also packed the Chicken Curry & Chicken+Lamb Biryani to take home. Both were recommended by Poojaji the owner. Both were amazing. We highly recommend this place.

We have been searching for the best Indian at the shore, and this restaurant has knocked it out of the park. Very small and intimate, you almost feel like you’re in a hidden gem in the city. Both husband and wife duo are amazing, friendly and accommodating. The food is outstanding. I can’t wait to bring friends and family here.

This restaurant is a small business, family owned, and beyond incredible. The hostess was so friendly, the food came out so fast and hot! The chicken samosas were crispy and delicious as the appetizer. We got chicken tikka masala, garlic naan and the grilled trio of lamb, shrimp and chicken. EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING!

Fantastic staff, friendly and fast service. I was excited to try Bombay after hearing positive things. All in all, it was good- but not what I had hoped. The small plates were disappointing (Cauliflower- lukewarm and a bit soggy. Samosas- way over-fried. Small and tough.)
Our entrees were okay, but compared to our usual local place, the food lacked the freshness and flavor we are used to. i’m glad we tried it, but I’m not sure if we’ll be back.

Amazing service is seriously an understatement for Bombay River! It's run by a pair of husband and wife -- they're super sweet and accommodating people. I called a week in advance and had no trouble getting a reservation for 10 people outside on Father's Day. There were originally two separate tables with umbrellas, we requested that they be moved together and the staff was happy to make it happen for us.
The place was BYOB! They promptly opened the wine for us and provided glasses (within the first 5 minutes). The ambiance is also really nice, there are small, hanging lights and

Love this place! Great food, they really work with you for allergy or dietary restrictions and are honest about which dishes have sugar for diabetics. We can always find something here but our go to is chana, spinach paneer, naan, and their amazing veggie coconut curry.. check them out you won't be disappointed.
My only wish is that they offered brown rice or black rice, we usually grab veggie fried brown rice from temple across the street or forbidden black rice from Teak.. they are so much better for you and less carby for diabetics. Of they offered ot on their menu we would never go anyplace

This is a fine dining Indian bistro. If you want Indian food, but you do not want something that might not be totally clean, this place is for you. It was sophisticated in every way.
We were looking for an Indian restaurant that was open on Christmas, and we were prepared to drive all the way to Edison for one. But this one we found on yelp, which is located right in downtown Red Bank. They were open for lunch, too.
All of the menu items were bursting with complex flavors. I don't know how they were able to make regular chickpeas taste so satisfying and filling. The atmosphere was very

I found out about Bombay River from Yelp's list of top restaurants. there's definitely something to all of the great ratings because there was a revolving door people coming in to get takeout. I can tell that this is definitely a favorite for many locals. I definitely enjoyed the meal here, though as far as Indian food goes I don't feel like it was anything out of the ordinary. Don't get me wrong, even ordinary Indian food is very good, but there was not much that stood out about the food here. The service however, was amazing. Everyone treated us with such kindness and were
