Horrible customer service.
Booked a place and walked in and its stank and had stains in the carpet.
They "cleaned" stains and said "take it or leave it". I wasn't going to stay there.
Wouldn't move us to another unit ir give us a credit.
Refunded 350 out of 1100 and said 'screw you".

Untrustworthy and corrupt company! Do not rent through them. I purchased a rental house through this company and receive a confirmation email. Later they canceled my reservation and doubled the price. They were completely unwilling to work with us and showed no remorse for their actions. I understand a company trying to make money for their business but not if it's by using unjust and deceptive practices. Avoid this place if possible.

Please be careful booking with ML. If you need to cancel for any reason they will charge you 30% of the original cost. It's legal theft. My father has terminal cancer and I had to cancel 6 months out. Plenty of time for someone else to rebook and they charged me $1500 for absolutely nothing. I'm sick about it and I desperately need that money. Unbelievable business practice and will never book with them again.

Our experience with Meredith Lodging was seamless and served us well. Registration was simple and their communication was excellent. The house we rented for our family Christmas vacation was in excellent condition and was exactly what we anticipated - maybe even better. The kitchen was very well stocked with quality appliances (we cook a LOT) and had plenty of utensils, pots, pans, dishes, and glasses - and the rooms and bathrooms were clean and well-stocked. So disapppointed that we could not go to the coast as planned with a house rental with Meredith Lodging. However, as we in Portland all witnessed, we had an unprecedented winter snowfall and we could not safely get to the property. We had not selected the insurance, but we had no reason to think we were not going to be able to go when we booked the trip in early December. As soon as we saw the snow prediction, we reached out to both VRBO and Meredith Lodging and Meredith refused to cancel or refund our $2000 that we had ponied up for this trip with our family. Highly professional organization that not only provide cost effective lodging but also willing to answer any and all questions via text very quickly. We experienced a minor mechanical issue with the dryer and they provided an alternative solution at no additional cost to us. I hope to use them again with my next trip to Oregon.

We booked a condo in Bend for mid December to ski. As it turns out Mt Bachelor delayed its opening so there is no skiing available. I stayed at the Crown Jewel in Depoe Bay this week and it was by far the most amazing stay of my life. The home was immaculately clean, the floors literally sparkled as I walked in and it smelled amazing. You can tell this company really cares about their homes! The hot tub was hot and super clean when we arrived, the kitchen is FULLY stocked with everything and anything you would need to cook a fabulous dinner and the dining room set up is amazing with the most beautiful chandelier I've ever seen. I can't wait to stay in another Meredith Lodging home! I'll be back in February for

Stayed 4 nights at Puffins Roost the last week of October. There were a couple issues that a previous reviewer on AirBNB stated (sometime in October) regarding carpet staining and a broken couch. Meridith responded to both issues saying that the cleaning staff would check it out.
Unfortunately, neither issue was addressed by the time my wife and I went. Carpet in dining area, living room, and stairs had many small size stains. One of the 2 couches was indeed broken as evidenced by sitting on it and seeing part of the frame trying to protrude through the back fabric. I had to move the couches around

First, the property was really nice; great value for what you get. There were a few issues with the property, but it didn't impact our visit too much. The gas range is missing parts for the burners to work properly. I don't know what they are called but each burner should have a small plate that spreads the flame out. Those are missing and the flame is a single jet from the middle of each burner. it worked, but not well. Also, it would appear some of the bedding hadn't been cleaned in between stays. At

The house was wonderful, clean, exactly as shown in the listing. Location was so easy to walk to the little downtown but quiet and tucked in the woods.
The battery had died on the key pad to enter the house so we had to call the building management company. They were prompt and helped us get in right away. They were professional and very helpful!

If your only criteria is a good location with easy access to the beach and there are no other options, this could be a fit for you.
However, the Customer Service, House Upkeep, and open hostility/retaliation via Meredith Lodging were terrible and added anxiety to a trip where we were hoping to relax.

We rented a house in Neskowin for the 4th of July. We booked this house in January. I'm sure you can imagine how excited we were to check-in this beautiful home and enjoy all it's amenities. Unfortunately, not so much...
1) we found the outdoor areas not cleaned up to the standard of this style of property.
- the patio and all outdoor seating areas (including fire pit) furniture was covered in dirt and cobwebs. We had to clean off the areas ourselves.
2) all 4 propane tanks were empty- including the grill which forced us to have to change our dinner plans unexpectedly- incurring

Meredith Lodging replied to this post (my post), saying the blood stains on the mattress pad we where left unbeknownst to us to sleep on where old and that the pad was washed before our stay! NO the blood stains where old but never was this mattress pad washed! They where dried blood stains NEVER BEEN WASHED and they made no mention of the FRESH Urine stains right next to the old never washed blood stains! They have only refunded me 1/2 off the 1 night stay fee to date! Keep posted because I most definitely will keep you unknowingly and innocent hotel patrons updated!

We just finished a stay with Meredith Lodging in Lincoln city. This is a house we've stayed at multiple times, and we book over a year in advance every time, until now. We arrived at the house to a broken hot tub, which is the main spot my family hangs out while at the house. Zero warning or discount. The house also had leaks from multiple areas, rusted out furniture, broken main door, broken siding laying about with nails sticking up to step on, black mold in all the screens that blows in your face with the wind, among so many other little things. I have reached out to Meredith Lodging and got no response to my email. Per their endless marketing emails, I really thought I would get a response from them, but it seems they do not actually care about improving the experience of their guests.
We stayed for 3 nights at this home just south of Lincoln city. We paid just under $1200 for a poorly kept home that was dirty, had parts missing that were in the photos, and was really just not taken care of very well.

This home is in some major need of TLC. It is old and smells/looks like it. I'm very thankful we had good weather because we had to have all the windows open most of the time.
They've update a few things like the dishwasher and microwave but as far as we could tell that fridge and washer/dryer came over on the Mayflower. The fridge is so old it's almost gross. The shelves on the door are broken, the light inside doesn't work. The washer and dryer are shockingly old. When we removed the sheets before we left the pillows under the pillowcases

I booked a house in Lincoln City, OR in early 2020 because my family was coming to town for my father's funeral. COVID showed up and boom, everything was cancelled.
I understand that under normal circumstances or somebody just cancelling a rental for basically no reason that a refund would not be allowed. But given a global pandemic it seems reasonable not to be punitive about a cancellation, especially as the state was still shut down at the time of the rental.
They have my money and I'm never getting it back. I was able to transfer the credit to a family member which is literally
