Have used Unique Optical for my glasses/prescription sunglasses for the last 3 years. They have always exceeded my expectations. The glasses have always been spot on and the customer service is at 110% consistently.
It's hard nowadays to find good customer service, much less great service.

I grew up in Houston but have lived in Los Angeles for over 20 years. Recently I was in town for a wedding and have known Tony, the owner, for many years. On my way back to LA I decided to drop in and as always, I had so much fun picking out frames for daily use and a prescription pair of sunglasses I will keep for the rest of my life. I *love* this shop! I have four pairs of glasses now and couldn't be happier with their selection, prices, and service. My mom just came into town and bought a pair of glasses as well. Cindy is amazing, extremely personable, great at helping with eye glass selection, and their turnaround time is super fast. Great location with easy parking.

Extremely disappointing experience. The staff is very impersonal, rushed and unprofessional - something most family business owners would want to know. Tony made no apology for his rude staff or their mistakes. They ordered the wrong frames, we had to wait an additional week to get the right ones, and then we were rushed out of the store because it was "almost" closing time. Take your business to someone who values their customer.

I started out looking for a pair of glasses that one of my favorite teachers had, old school super round and just vintage. AVOID! The service was great when I first arrived. I found frames I loved and was quoted a price & told when they would be done. That was where the service ended. I had to call back several times, no communication between staff & much confusion as to where my order was. Cindy the manager told me they would call back the next morning. After waiting all morning I had to call them...I was told they found my order but now the lenses would take almost a week later than promised. I was offed at buy glasses but now the cost had doubled. Reminds me of BAIT & SWITCH. NO concern for CUSTOMER

I received very friendly and professional service here. I've read that the old man that can be tiresome, so ask for Cindy. They have a great selection of fashionable frames with better fits than I have found at other places. I have a big head and I find most frames look like kids frames on me. I settled an a pair of Tom Ford, and I can't wait until they come in! Prices are steep, even after insurance, so be prepared for sticker shock. I recommend this place when you can't find what you want at other places and you want a more personal pair of glasses.

The name Unique Optical is the perfect name for this business. They have the best selection of designer frames of any place I have seen in Houston. I always get lots of compliments on the frames that I purchase there. The staff is extremely warm, friendly and helpful. Janet helped me today and she was so patient and genuinely concerned about helping me find the perfect frames. Which I did. I recommend this eyeglass business as my first choice. Wonderful frames, wonderful staff and high quality, unique glasses.

From start to finish this was the best experience. The staff are polite and friendly, patient and extremely helpful. After I picked out my frames and lenses, they called me THE NEXT DAY (less than 24 hours later actually) to let me know that my glasses were ready! What?!?! Who has a turn around time of less than a day? These guys. Very Professional, will be back and would recommend to anyone.

I am surprised by all the positive reviews. They led me to this place since my husband was having a hard time finding frames that fit his face, and I thought a family owned business would be more personable. Wrong.
Unwelcoming atmosphere. Unhelpful staff. The man (who i assume is the owner) seemed so unwilling to even ask my husband and me if we needed help. He was sarcastic, rude, and offensive. I will take my business elsewhere.

It's true this is Houston's best kept secret. I found this place by accident, I was visiting the UPS store next door and just happened upon it. I'm so glad I did! The staff are so kind and personable. They helped me choose frames, weren't pushy at all, yet also suggestive as to what frames complimented my face. There were plenty of options. Not inexpensive. This place offers a great selection on frames. $300-$1000 range. I was lucky and purchased my frames during a half off sale. $150 for Oliver Peoples. I have been quoted a cheaper price to fill a prescription by as much as $100. It was $270 for polycarbonate and Crizol. The staff is friendly. I was told five days til my frames would be ready and they were ready for pickup on the fifth day by noon.
