Life can be full of uncertainties, but two things are certain: death and taxes. How you plan for these eventualities will play an important part in how your family is cared for and how they will be able to move forward if you were to pass away. But what if you were to suddenly become disabled? How could you be sure that your wishes would be known, and your financial affairs would be managed by someone you trust?
A living trust is a legal document that individuals (grantors) can use during their lifetime to designate a trustee who would be responsible for managing that individual's assets after death for the eventual transfer to their beneficiary. It is an estate planning tool that may be used in lieu of, or in addition to a will.
Unlike a revocable trust, an irrevocable trust is one that is designed to be permanent. This means that once it has been created, it cannot be changed. While this might seem a bit drastic, in certain situations, there are benefits in creating such a trust.

Probate is a legal process that happens after an individual dies, even when a written Will exists. The process ensures that the deceased possessions/assets are managed and distributed to the appropriate people and any debts and taxes that are owed are paid in full. When a written Will exists, the probate court will check to see that it was properly signed and witnessed before carrying out the deceased's wishes.

It was time for my husband and I to amend the beneficiary page in our trust. Upon examining the trust we had in place for 3 years Celaya Law was able to fix several other parts of our old trust. I work for a financial institution! I see the fallout and sadness every day of families who didn't have a TRUST. It's so majorly SAD! As an African American even while working for a financial institution I didn't see the need for a trust. I was raised to take care of your own money. That's good if you're alive and not DEAD! I too would highly recommend this firm after having many questions answered @ one of their free seminars which lasts about 40 minutes. Very comprehensive & there is even room @ the end for a few questions & answers. My Wife & I were not only seeking information for ourselves, for my Wife's Mother who just lost her Husband. We came in looking to create a trust and discuss estate planning in general. Our first meeting with Mr. Celaya was very relaxed and we came prepared with a list of our assets and a general idea of what we wanted in the trust.
