We are proud to be one of the select preschools in the Richmond area with a nationally accredited program. Our goal is to strengthen and enhance the standards of our early childhood program and to exemplify excellence in the care of young children. We are a nine month school, beginning in September of each year, with several Summer Camps during the month of July.

Our approach to learning is based on well documented research in the field of Early Childhood Development that indicates that learning happens best for children when they are given the opportunity to actively explore their environment through learning centers, where there is a balance between teacher-directed and child-directed activities, and when instructional strategies are used that meet each individual child's stage of development.

I started working here at Winfree Memorial Preschool in 2015. I received a Bachelor of Science degree from Liberty University in Family and Community studies, with a concentration in Childhood Development. I live in Midlothian with my husband and three children. We enjoy attending Journey Christian Church and have been living in Midlothian for many years.
Winfree Memorial Preschool is committed to helping each child attain their developmental and educational objectives. Our WEE Spiritual curriculum is used to guide our spiritual lessons. We use this curriculum to help children develop as Jesus did physically and mentally, spiritually and socially.
Our educational goals are based on the Virginia Department of Education's publication, Virginia's Foundation Blocks for Early Learning: Comprehensive standards for Four-year old's and the Virginia smart beginnings/milestones of child development a guide to young children's learning and development from birth to kindergarten.Both of these publications provide learning standards for children which prepare them for kindergarten.

Enjoy the freedom of choosing within our two day programs, three day programs or five day programs. Winfree Memorial Preschool offers full time, with extended day, and half day programs. We strive to grant all scheduling changes and accommodate parents with unique work schedules. We are conveniently located minutes from route 288 and Powhite parkway in the town of Midlothian VA.
