Mrs. Subha Babu is a certified Montessori teacher with rich 9+ years of teaching experience. She is Child Development certified Associate with CPR and First Aid. We provide a safe environment for your children to Learn, Share, Play and Grow Independently.

The Peacock Montessori welcomes you to learn about our school and the program we offer for children that pave the way to positive education. Our school follows the Montessori method, affiliated with the International Association of Progressive Montessori (IAPM) and Virginia state-approved licensed daycare.
Mrs. Subha Babu is our director and lead teacher with eight-plus years of teaching experience. Mrs. Subha is a certified Montessori teacher and started working as the Montessori school teacher at "Montessori One" in Westlake Village, California. After moving to Richmond, she worked in various schools (Kinder Care, Hilltop & West End Montessori).
In a Montessori school of learning children make creative choice of learning and teacher enhances it based on the age. Our program follows the Montessori method of education that is based on self-directed activities, hands-on learning, and collaborative play. Our school program focuses to improve the Sensory Skill, Physical, Social, Emotional & Cognitive Development of the kids.

Ms. Subha is an amazing teacher! My son did not like school and would tell me all the time at his old school. We started this past fall with Ms. Subha and the first day he told me that he now loves school. She makes learning fun and he thoroughly enjoys going to school now! Previously he would not tell me anything about his day and now he shares lots of details and teaches me what he’s learned. Ms. Subha is so loving, patient and caring and we are so glad that we found TPM! I could not recommend Ms. Subha or her program more.

Highly recommend! Our daughter attended the Peacock Montessori for the 2020-2021 school year for pre-kindergarten. We feel so lucky. Ms. Subha is an incredible teacher with a natural gift. She is organized, hands-on, thoughtful, a great communicator, and has exceeded each and every one of our expectations. Our daughter has learned so much. We started our daughter off with preschool at peacock montessori, around 2 years ago with no big expectations. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised at the improvement in learning, habits , discipline and mostly the enthusiasm that the child has developed all along. She loves her teacher Ms . Subha , loves going to school and enjoys every bit of it. I have seen that Subha has great Montessori experience and bonds with the kids amazingly, gets to know them personally , their likes , dislikes and I think that personal attention goes a long way at that age in making the child feel assured.Highly

My 4 year old son enjoyed Ms. Subha's pre-K readiness program. She did a variety of programs keeping it exciting for the kids to be engaged continuously. My son is an introvert but Ms. Subha brings out the best in each child. He was constantly looking forward to every lesson and was eager to interact with his friends. Ms. Subha made it a fun program. It is very difficult to have an online program for kids that age. With quarantine during the Covid this was a very valuable and memorable experience for the kid and us. Highly recommend this program.

We have enrolled my son to TPM since we didn't like his earlier daycare (They are not giving much attention to individual). After he moved to TPM, We could see lot of improvements within few months. We love the curriculum. My son has learned so much and he loves go to school. We were so happy when he started reading and talked about the 50 states. Our daughter has been very fortunate to be part of the Peacock Montessori family. She attended the school for the year 2018-2019. Peacock Montessori has provided our daughter the best environment we could have possibly dreamt for her Pre-K year. She wakes up with a smile every morning, eager and keen to attend school, and comes home everyday with a ton of new experiences and learnings. It is enriching to hear our daughter talk about various subjects like continents, oceans, watercycle ,gardening, recycling, etc.
