Great bed side manners. The procedure done on my neck was painless and the improvement in my symptoms is about 85%. Now we are going to address other areas of my back pain. Dr. Cannella was one of the most informative and caring doctors I have ever met!

I have been seeing Dr Joseph Toothaker-Alvarez at Space City Pain Specialists for several years for treatment of chronic back and neck pain. I have been very satisfied with the treatment and support by Dr Alvarez and an excellent staff. The appointments are uplifting due to an atmosphere that emphasizes the care and comfort of the patient. It’s without reservations that I recommend Dr Alvarez to anyone requiring pain treatment tailored by the patient and doctor to meet the patient’s needs.

Dr Garcia always takes time with his patients and explains things thoroughly. I have been his patient since 2009. Office staff are always friendly. Very easy to get in touch with a medical assistant to get messages to the doctor. Sometimes the wait is longer than expected, but once Dr. Garcia comes in the room, he doesn't leave until all questions are answered.

Staff is all really great and accommodating.
Have been a patient since 2018 of Dr.Garcia’s & Denise.
But have had the other doctors help with my case/situation when they’ve been on vacation and all are super helpful and help to the best they can.
As I’m on the younger side I started seeing them when I was 21-22 for chronic pain. And they’ve helped me immensely. 10/10!!!
The receptionist to the techs to the nurses are all nice.

Dr. Alvarez is one of the BEST pain specialist out there! I can not stress how beneficial he has been to helping me deal with the pain that my Ankylosing Spondylitis causes. His bed side manners are exquisite. His nurses are absolutely just the best! They respond to any questions that I might have & if they do not know the answers they do everything in their power to try to find the answers/solution. I'd be lost workout this facility. I am so thankful to know them!

Very thorough in dealing with the pain issues. Staff is always friendly. My provider Denise, is top notch! She answers all of my questions, and allows me to participate in the decision making.
She doesn't treat me just like a patient, she treats me as a friend, which makes the experience very welcoming.
I highly recommend Space City Pain Specialist!

My doctor is Dr. Garcia and his assistant name is Tobi. They are both amazing and good at what they do. I feel better eventually after the sessions that I go to.
He’s to the point and tells you like it is But has confidence that he can help you. He’s not really a handholding kind of guy, but you just know that you are in good hands. The one thing I really like about Dr. Garcia is he really does spend time with each and every patient. I really like. I’m that kind of patient that needs to know why and to ask questions and he’s upfront with you but he takes the time to answer them and is

After a truly horrible experience with another pain group and a failed procedure I went to Dr Garcia with skepticism. He helped me understand why the procedure went wrong as well as why what he planned for me was more appropriate. I left with a renewed sense of hope that I didn’t have to “deal” with having pain at a 7 or 8 everyday. He explains, but even more importantly he listens so he understands YOU and your unique situation.
