Pioneer Park Campground
Due to a shortage of staff we are forced to limit our office, gameroom, laundry, pool and activities to 11am - 5pm Sundays - Wednesdays. We apogolize for any inconvience. Pioneer Park is a beautiful 185 acre recreational area nestled at the foot of the scenic Laurel Ridge Mountains. The large manicured grass-covered campsites are enhanced by fifty picturesque acres of spring fed lakes.

Three of the lakes are stocked regularly with all species of trout and attract fishermen from all over southwestern Pennsylvania. No fishing license is required, although permits are necessary and can be purchased at the campground office. The fourth lake is used for paddle boats and children's fishing.

Pros: pool, mini golf, playgrounds, bball courts, lakes, paddle boats, really clean facilities, large furepits.
Cons: Can not select campsite, you are given what you are given.. advertised having cable but only got 5 channels and was glitchy..advertised having wifi but was not throughout the entire campground, had to cut our trip early to complete my work. our sites sewage line was higher than our camper area, so we were unable to use full hook up and had to dump on the way out park "had site 96".. Electric box panels are shady...Our friends booked a tent site + electric/water and were given a

This weekend was our second weekend being here, spending time with family and enjoying the peacefulness. We took our little girl trick or treating and everyone was super nice and awesome. We thank everyone and the park for doing this event. The DJ was also awesome!
Shower houses were clean, there is a park for the kiddos and the dogs.
Boats to ride.
We 110% recommend Pioneer Park Campground. We will be back.

Clean campground with all of the usual amenities. Nice size pool, full court basketball, tennis court, mini golf, shuffle board, paddle boats, kayaks, fishing for a fee, arcade, two playgrounds, nice store. Wifi is not great, but that is par for the course at most places in this area.

Staff is awful, rude and totally unprofessional! Barb is a complete nightmare! This campground is overpriced for the sad little amenities that it offers - the pool is terrible, the “arcade” has about 4 games, there is an additional $11 fee to fish…but sometimes it’s $13 - depends on who is working. Kids have to stop riding bikes at 8:00 pm. “Quiet time” at 11:00 pm - on weekends. Bathhouses stink and are mildewy. Do not waste your money!!

Visited for the first time this past weekend (4/17/21). First pro: we arrived late for various reasons, but the employee who was actually leaving as we entered the parking lot nearest the office gave us a pamphlet/map and told us to check in the following morning. There are hundreds of sites (most full service with cable) and a ton of seasonal and storage spots as well. Located just off of 31, it was easy to access from the PA Turnpike and there is plenty to do locally if you're into State Parks and nature. Somerset is just down the road as well. We ventured out to Kooser State Park and a couple

Beauitful location! A few state parks close by, as well as a surprising number of other activities available (go karts!) in the area, and hiking, fishing, a great playground, dog play area, and swimming pool on the campground. No swimming in the campground lakes. Pool hours were a little erratic and not posted, and paddleboats were dated. Public bathhouses were well maintained, well lit, and clean. Staff and campers were all friendly and the grounds were super peaceful. Quiet times were indeed quiet. Would absolutely visit again.

First time here, and can't wait to come back! Staff was informative and very helpful. Activity passes were convenient, and covered mini golf and paddle boats. Pool and facilities were well maintained, trash pickup is done BY STAFF between 9am-4pm, from your site.
Their store carries (almost) everything you'd need to camp, plus pool supplies, fishing supplies etc. Water/sewage and cable hook ups were easy.
ONLY thing I wasn't a huge fan of, was not having a site with some shade (though I did request a pull through, and it could've been the only thing available).

We have been using Pioneer Park for years. We go at least 4 to 5 years. Each year the staff gets more and more miserable by the day. They are just miserable and rude. Even how they speak to the their staff. It's a shame. The wooden train over by the basketball court for the children to play on has been falling apart for years. There are now broken boards all over with sharp edges and rusty screws sticking out of it. Not safe for the kids to play on and it has been this way. Little pool at the pool is closed for the 2nd or 3rd year. Pool hours keep getting shorter and shorter. They really need to

The campground is in a beautiful area. But, there were some significant issues that should be addressed. The young lady that checked us in (and training another girl) was not only rude to us, but also mean to the girl in training. Not cool. We set up camp, except for hooking up the water. Would do that after getting some lunch. When we arrived back, the water did not work. My husband went to the office / store to tell them of the issue and to buy firewood. It was closed at 5:45pm, before it should have been. So, no water and we had to go back into town to get firewood. After an evening walk around
