A developmental play-based preschool morning program in a residential home located near Regnart Elementary School in Cupertino, providing an environment of unconditional love and acceptance where children can feel safe to explore, experiment, learn and discover through the process of play. Monday through Friday mornings from 8:45 to 11:45 a.m. for children from 2 to 5 years of age.
Children in diapers or potty-trained are all welcome. Parents may sign up for 5 mornings per week. We spend time both indoor and outdoor with the following activities: arts and crafts, music/movement, science exploration, cooking, sensory and water play, bubbles, painting, games and more. Each session starts at 8:45 a.m. and ends at 11:45 a.m.

Services
As an experienced early-childhood educator, I firmly believe in the wonder of play. It fosters imagination and creativity in children. It is through play-based, active exploration that children learn in our structured learning environment both indoors and outdoors. However, I also respect the shifting culture of California's education system, where children need to exhibit an increased readiness to enter kindergarten.
The learning environment is located in a large recreation room in my home. The layout is structured and designed to provide an inviting and stimulating space for children. It is set up with numerous centers (or areas for learning). Each morning playdough is laid out on our large kidney-shaped table with many tools the children to use to cut, shape, and mold with their hands for fine motor development.

Our family moved to Cupertino from out-of-state. I was very anxious about finding the right preschool teacher for my child. After searching extensively and reading reviews on Yelp and Google, I started interacting with Ms. Riem over e-mail. This preschool is excellent and Ms. Riem is a very loving and passionate teacher.
When we moved to California, I was worried about how my daughter would adjust to the new environment. But this worry didn't last long since within a few days after joining Play Garden, my daughter started enjoying her preschool. The student ratio is low and Ms. Riem has a very good bonding with all the kids. She creates a very comfortable environment by her caring and sweet nature. Even parents feel comfortable to discuss the kid related concerns, if any.

My son enjoys very much for his two years preschool life in Play Garden! I'm really appreciated that Ms Riem is a very passionate and whole-hearted teacher. To make it clear, let me put it in point form:
1. Even our son's first language is not English, Ms Riem is very patient to teach him everyday. Ms Riem is talented in learning different languages and can communicate with my son using simple words of his mother tongue!

We love Play Garden Preschool.
My sons really love the school and Ms.Riem.My second son graduated last year and third son goes now.
Even my oldest son was not there loves Ms.Riem.
The school is small but very comfortable and has enough fun event!

This was our first experience with Pre-school admitting our children. We had toured a lot of schools before we admitted our children here. The things that clearly standout at Play Garden Preschool is the experience that Mrs. Riem has. Its clearly reflected in the complete setup at the school, the effective communication she has with small kids and her pre-school schedule which encourages both learning and playtime.
Mrs Riem is also very good at explaining how new kids adapts to the school environment to the parents and she also make's it a point to have parents upto date on kids progress.

Students in the school are from different countries.They are all polite and friendly. Mrs Riem is very nice,careful and in patience. She will help kid putting on jacket when kids play in yard in winter. and take off jacket when it is hot. Kid are only allowed to eat health snack and water or milk in school. She invited parents to attend a lot of activities and holidays celebration. She email us to tell what happen about your kid and answer your email in time. My kid only can speak a little of English at the beginning,but he made a big progress during the year. Our families all love this school

Ms. Riem is a great teacher,

Both of my two kids attended Play garden preschool for a total of four years. They enjoyed being in that learning environment so much and thrived during those years. Ms. Riem is a caring, loving and attentive teacher. My older son had very negative experiences in another big preschool franchise program before I found the Play Garden Preschool.
He was nurtured by Ms.Riem with great support and encouragement. In turned he learned to be a confident child, graduated with pride. Our younger child also enjoyed her years spent there.

We LOVE Ms. Riem and Play Garden Preschool! I discovered Play Garden this August after searching many places for over a month. As an Early Childhood Educator of 17 years myself, I had high expectations and standards for what I was looking for. We were so fortunate to find Ms. Riem and Play Garden Preschool. Our daughter entered Ms. Riem's program with extreme shyness after having had a very difficult experience at another school. After two years with Ms. Riem, our daughter's self-confidence sky rocketed and she was able to develop very close and caring relationships with her classmates. Ms. Riem's home-based environment provides the children with so many rich activities in a very calm and loving atmosphere. She pays close attention to each child and makes sure that students treat each other with respect and kindness.
