Old 502 Winery
We are in the process of building our new tasting room. In the mean time, we have a pop up tasting room with scheduled tastings in the Falls City Taproom. Be sure to pick up an Old 502 gift basket for your friends, family, co-workers, or that special someone. Using grapes grown by local, Kentucky farmers, we craft some of the most eclectic - dare we say funky - wines you'll ever have the pleasure of tasting.
Services
THE ONLY URBAN WINERY IN KENTUCKY; where the grapes are outsourced, but the wine is made right here in the Phoenix Hill/Nulu neighborhood. Not having our own vineyard gives us the ability to craft some of the most eclectic - dare we say funky - wines you'll ever have the pleasure of tasting. Old 502 wine can be found in liquor stores all over Kentucky or can be shipped straight to your door*.

This place is very clean in the inside. The atmosphere was wonderful especially if you have your friends or family you'll feel like you wouldn't want to leave. The owner was a cool guy.

I was here for the last public Silent Disco prior to Covid hitting hard. It is a pretty good venue for a chill glass of wine (on the ground level), and the upstairs has plenty of space for private events or a roaring silent disco. I spend all evening upstairs where there were 2-3 bartenders serving a large crowd and they did a good job of helping us all in the order we came up. They had a selection of they wines, and I had a red and white. Not my favorite wines, but still good. Preferred their whites over the reds, but they had a really good sangria there too.

No longer a cute winery, go to their website... no slushies,no tastings and this is super sad. Another Covid cluster, be glad when the world rights itself.

Is now just an afterthought inside Falls City Brewery. Only save here was they have sours at the brewery. They did have two bottles for sale...... so much for this excitement. THEY TOLD ME, you should read their website.

Our group came out to do a tasting on Sunday. The set up is nice with a bar, high top tables and lower tables. This is a great group outing if you are looking for something to accommodate quite a few guests. There were 20 of us in our party and Melissa kept the various wines coming right on time. The bottle prices were also reasonable should you opt to go that route. There was a separate area with couches that looked inviting. It may be for private events but I didn't enquire. The winery had options of dry to sweet wines and you can opt for more of one then the other. They have crackers and

Such a fun urban winery! My friend and I met here to do a wine tasting for $8 where we got to choose 6 of their 10 wines! They have wine that ranges from sweet whites to dry reds, and some delicious bourbon barrel wines! After tasting some, we decided to split a bottle of the Bourbon Barrel Red and get some popcorn to snack on. The bartenders were super friendly and conversational and they definitely made our experience better! The atmosphere here is super cute and I am looking forward to coming back and enjoying more of their wine with friends!

I've been to Old 502 Winery for special events but not for a wine tasting. It's not a super large space but they had a nice size bar and seating. I had scheduled group tasting in advance so they were already setup and ready when we got there.
Laid out in each place setting was a menu with variety of wine selections, glass bottles of water and wine glasses. For an $8 tasting you get to select 6 types of wine to taste. The guy helping us was really good and memorized each of our selections without having to give him our wine sheets. Food was not included in this tasting but they do have

We went here with our friends and were gave a piece of paper and told to pick 6 wines from the list. When we asked about the different wines, the lady serving the wine didn’t know anything about them. Then she left us to attend to regular customers at the other end of the bar. I had to wave my money to get her attention to even pay for our tasting. We didn’t purchase any wine nor would we recommend this winery. The wine was just so so tasting.

I came here for an event on 12/18 to celebrate a new journey with a company called MIG - Mighty in good. An all organic, chemical-free skincare line. The founder Jamie came in town from Colorado and we had a large group of people come out for this event.
The venue was absolutely beautiful, decorated so nicely. There were a couple bartenders that did a great job serving everyone their cocktails. Such a beautiful establishment and would be perfect for such events.
I enjoyed my time here, as it was my first time. Would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a nice modern location for

Great change of pace. I'm not a huge bourbon fan but certainly did stop at a few Distilleries. This winery was a nice treat since I drink wine. I was able to break things up a bit with a wine tasting. Great atmosphere, friendly service and outstanding wine. If you love sweet wine they have multiple options for you. We did a wine tasting with reds and whites. I loved the SINgria and the Rose. I love the decor it's very trendy. You can play board games, sit and chat or sit at the bar. There was no tour which was ok. They're building a new location so I'd you want a tour I&apos

I always have a good time at Old 502! I love their Sparkle wine (please bring it back soon!) and the Bach's wine. I tend to come here mostly in the fall and winter, as they are willing to put football and basketball games on the big projector screen. The service is generally very good here as well. If you haven't been before, I suggest doing a tasting to get a feel for which one you want. They also have beer on tap and liquor!

OMG NO. If you are here for wine and actually like to drink wine, then this is definitely not the place for you. I sometimes like to go to these random wineries for fun to see how the wine is. I know some people which I don't but the wine here that was sweet wasn't even good. It does have a bar, and i think they serve other things, but I only had their tasting of 13 wines.

I was anxious to try this urban wine-tasting venue I found only one of the wines to my liking, the Bourbon Barrel Red. Despite this, I highly recommend everyone try the wines for themselves, as palates vary! The space is unique with a heavy urban ambiance. There is plenty of seating and the staff provided very attentive service. The wine is priced very reasonably and we took a couple of bottles of the Bourbon Barrel Red home. There are some wine-themed t-shirts and other items for purchase too. I can see this being a fun place to hang with some wine-loving friends.

LOVE this little quaint winery just outside the heart of downtown Louisville.

They have a great selection of wine for any pallet as well as draft beer if wine isn't your thing. Ample and various styles of seating to fit your group or mood. They have cheese and meat trays to enjoy as well.

My husband did a wine tasting and I just went straight for a glass of the Kentucky Lady. Great sweet wine but not overly sweet.

Super friendly staff and not overbearing like some places where they hover until you're ready for the next wine on your list. They give you time to enjoy what you currently

Customer service was nonexistent. It was as if we were inconveniencing the 'bartender' by being there. We were handed a piece of paper and told to pick 6, no information given about any of the wines. We had to ask multiple times for water. The wines were good but would not recommend a visit.

Went to a wine tasting with some friends and really had a great time. We got to sample six different wines for only $8 per person. Our server, Katelynn, was fun and introduced each wine with a little story about the personality of that particular variety.

The wine is drinkable, some good some less good... Nothing bad. Most of them were true to the expectations of the varietal. They had a couple barrel aged options which is a cool novelty in the Louisville area.

They have a great space with lots of seating. There is not much food available. They offered a charcuterie board and popcorn. We were interested in the popcorn but never got it.

Will i be back? I wouldn't avoid it, but not seeking it out specifically for my next Louisville visit. If you end up here it's not bad... It was a nice convenient stop after out peerless tour when we

Old 502 Winery is such a cool experience. For people coming to visit or for people who live here, I urge you to visit! Not only do they have wine tastings (obviously), they also offer beer flights!

The wine tasting includes 6 choices for $8! WHAT A GOOD DEAL. The pours are not your average tiny pours, so it is worth it if you've never tried 502 wines!

Now that it has become just a tasting room, they no longer have a full menu. They do however offer a meat and cheese tray as well as popcorn. Not the best choices, but it's something!

The space is large and open so it's nice

I went here a couple of years ago and it was such a great place. Prices were pretty reasonable. It was our (2 people plus me) first tasting and the bar tender was patient with us and answered our tons of questions. She was super friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed so many of the things we tried. Of course, a stand out was the wine slushie. We'd never had any such thing and it was delicious. I love that they sell a mix to-go so you can make the slushies at home. They also had a chocolate wine that I honestly didn't expect to like as I'm not a huge fan of sweets but it was actually really good

Old 502 is a great place to meet up with friends - the atmosphere is welcoming and cozy and the bartenders are friendly. I would recommend trying it out but don't be expect to be amazed by their wines. Their bourbon wines are pretty good though and a fun take on the Ky favorite. And their wine tasting option is a good deal! For $8 you can try 6 wines.
They don't have many food options - just a cheese platter and popcorn. So just keep that in mind if you are planning a trip!

Came out here for the kick off of Louisville Pizza week, and got to taste some of their wines while being here as well. I got to try the Bore dough first of course, not very big on red wine. I did however liked the Holiday edition that was served very warm. I bought a bottle of the White Noise since a lot of the people there told me they liked the White Noise.

Next got to go on a tour. Trying wine straight from the barrel was very interesting. Dustin, our tour guide was very knowledgeable and answered our questions. This was my first winery tour and I learned some new and interesting things

Cool atmosphere. Wines were hit or miss so I would do a tasting first. Service was not the best it could have been. Slow but they were friendly each time they did stop by the table! Still will go back though. They also serve beer and wine slushees, and I saw a couple bottles of Hennessy. Cheese platters and other small plates can also be ordered. They have their own parking lot so don't make the mistake of parking at the meters and paying!

Went to a wine tasting at this facility last week. It is easy to get to (right up against the 64-interstate). We sampled 5 wines and I found only one to be truly palatable; the bourbon barrel red (purchased 2 bottles). The tasting room is spacious and has that 1920's rustic feel. The tour of the bottling facility left a bit to be desired; to begin with the heat and humidity of the rooms was a bit much considering the hot summer weather. I also thought the facility could use some improvement to its upkeep. Definitely a lack of modernization with regards to its decor. It reminded me of

I came here for a private event which included a tour and tasting.

I don't know about wine, I want to learn to appreciate it and would love a class on how to appreciate wine. My grandparents had vineyards, one would think that I may have picked up something from that but alas I was young and dumb. I enjoyed the wine, I enjoyed the tasting, I enjoyed that the people proctoring our tasting were able to answer our questions - someone in my group is a lot smarter than I am and had great questions.

The tour was also nice, it was different than I am used to. Old 502 doesn't grow their own

Great little winery here in downtown Louisville. Did the tasting. Wow. Six generous pours by Becca. The Boubon barrel red was our favorite but the Sin Gria was a close second. Great venue in old (200 years) factory. We love all batch wineries.

We as a group made a special planned trip to the Louisville area simply for the purpose of tasting different wines. Keep in mind collectively I have toured nearly every winery in the state of Ohio, many in Indiana, Michigan, and some in West Virginia and never have I found a"sales associate" the was more unlikeable than the one that serviced us yesterday. Putting it mildly I use the word rude, lacked professionalism and just not a proper fit for customer service. For the wine sake I've tasted and experienced so many wines in the last year I can't say I have a favorite set of standards of what I

This was the last winery of my birthday tour, and while we enjoyed the wine, the stop was the least enjoyable. One sister did not have an ID with her and the establishment refused to let her taste even though she was obviously over 21. I understand places have rules, but nothing I saw on their website or elsewhere indicated an ID was a requirement so it was a rude surprise.
The next disappointment came when another employee started work in the middle of the tasting and wanted us to pay before we were finished. After having so much fun with the employees at the earlier tastings, the employees here

I stopped in here for the first time (how....HOW was it my first time?!) after already having visited/toured/tasted at Kentucky Peerless. My friend and I decided to keep the tastings flowing since Old 502 is basically just across the street!

We walked in and a tasting was already in process, so we had to wait a few minutes. But it is a small tasting room. I would say standing room for 8-10 people comfortably, so I can see how a few small groups coming in at staggered times could overwhelm a single worker. And there was only one person running the tasting and shop.
Turns out, I know the person
