Winding River Resort Village
The campground is operating for the summer of 2021 with all the campsites and cabins/rooms still intact. Construction of the Stagecoach Stop is complete. We are back to 100% operational with a second bath house, and laundry service available for guests. The online reservation system is up and running and reservations are open for all camping and lodging for both 2021 and 2022.

Get away from it all and enjoy one of our spacious RV or tent sites or one of our extremely popular camper cabins. Guest horse camp sites with corrals are available for direct riding access into Rocky Mountain National Park or Arapaho National Forest. Guests return often to relax in our peaceful and unique setting.

The campground is very cute, bathrooms very very clean. However, we had a horrible experience when we stayed in July if 2021.
We booked and had a late check-in due to our flight being later in the day. We called when we booked to confirm we could have a late check-in. Then we confirmed this a week prior, and finally confirmed one more time THE DAY BEFORE. Each time we were assured the door to our cabin would be unlocked. (We would find our name attached to a map of the campground with our cabin # listed on a board).
We arrived at midnight, exhausted and with a crabby 9 month old baby in tow,

Perfect campground! This was a bucket list trip for my husband and I and let me tell you, it was fantastic! We stayed the 2nd week of September and the aspens we're turning...the only thing I was disappointed in was not seeing a moose in the campground. The staff were very helpful and courteous and the campground was clean and beautiful. I can't wait to come back! Thank you so much far a fabulous time!

We stayed in our travel trailer in the site 67 (for horses even thought we didn’t have horses). It was one of the only sites left when we booked. We loved how large the site was and it had a few trees which we loved. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The only issue we had was once the Labor Day weekend was over, there weren’t any people/horses around us and the flies had no where to go but to us 😳. All the horses that had been around us were now gone. Nothing the resort can do about that. Overall, we had a wonderful time. It’s close to the park and the entrance on this side never

The staff was amazing, during our stay we had truck issues and they accommodated us and offered any help needed we ended up staying a week longer until our truck was taken care of. Isaac our horse back guide was amazing, Chris who is a RV mechanic who was staying there and working for the resort stopped to offer assistance as well and to all the other employees you were awesome. Will most definitely recommend and will come and visit again!!!! 5 stars with out a doubt. Winding river resort is the best place we have stayed so far..

This was our first trip to Winding River. We loved the resort! We were with our two young boys and a ton of family. Having the playground and animal farm was awesome! Campsites are nice and provide good space between for some privacy. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Best camping spot in Grand Lake! We have stayed here around 20 times in the last few years and always love our time spent here. There is everything you could possibly need just steps away. Clean/beautiful showers/restrooms, close to town, petting zoo and playgrounds for the kids, and the people that work here are the best part! Everyone is so accommodating and kind! We love winding river! So much so that we got engaged here and now spend our anniversary here as a way to get away from busy day to day life. Thank you to everyone at Winding River Rv Resort for always making our stay special and memorable

We just completed a great 2 night stay at Winding River Resort in our Sprinter van. It was a perfect location, only minutes away from the town of Grand Lake and it had a beautiful setting with some excellent amenities. The bathrooms were the best of any property we have stayed at in terms of cleanliness, appearance and lots of hooks for belongings in the shower. The store was well stocked and the stables to arrange horseback rides was adjacent to the campsites and absolutely the most well-cared for horses and cleanest stable I have ever seen. Best of all, there are rules for maintaining a quiet

We just had a great weekend at Winding River. We originally had booked a spot at this campground right as the fire hit. The resort was generous in giving us a refund for needing to cancel. It must have been an extremely scary time for many, many people in the Grand Lake area. But most of what burned was trees, but also a few structures.
We stayed in site #119 which is the grid of full-hookup RV spots. It was unbelievably calm and quiet. We enjoyed some easy, beautiful mountain hikes (East Inlet/Adams Falls and Monarch Lake). Also we ate lunch at the Grand Lake Lodge with good food and scenic views

Our family had a great time at Winding River Resort this past weekend. We brought our Little Guy Trailer for the first time. The bathrooms are very clean and showers are great. We had spot 47 across from breakfast, the playground, and the stables with great views of the mountains. It’s a short drive away from Grand Lake Village. It’s a great spot for a first family camping trip with little ones. We will be back.

We chose Winding River Resort because of the location and the ratings. Our trip was for me to officiate at a wedding so I wasn't really focused on where we were staying. It was really more of a base camp.
After arriving I wish I could have stayed a couple more days to enjoy the facilities and activities. Horseback riding, hay rides, ATV rentals. Very family and pet friendly.
One of the places that always tells me about the park is the shower/restrooms and laundry facility. All I can say is WOW! Beautiful and well maintained with privacy and family spaces.
The staff were wonderful to work with
