I've had a few things tailored here and all of them have turned out great. Never had a problem with an alteration. They are organized and get the work done on time. And the people are friendly. Once when I had a very minor alteration, they did it for me for free because it was so inexpensive!
I have gone to a different tailor here in Omaha and they did a poor job, so it is refreshing to come here and know that I can rely on them to do the job well.

The tailor very kindly agreed to take on a project outside of their usual services. My mother was a very talented seamstress, but died suddenly in November and left behind an incomplete dress she was making for my toddler aged niece. Sy's Tailor agreed to finish the dress, and since I brought in all the fabric, thread, and pattern pieces I could find among my mom's sewing area I was only charge for labor.
I forgot to provide Sy's with my phone number when I dropped off the incomplete dress (I was crying, still in the earliest stages of grief). Still, Sy's Tailor kept ahold of the finished dress

Things were reconciled with my dress and the other dresses from the wedding party. We were called to pick up our dresses the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. I'm thankful they opened their doors for us and allowed us to pick up our dresses for our friend's wedding!

They've been closed HALF the month of November! I NEED to pick up a Bridesmaid dress! I have my BEST FRIEND'S wedding on SATURDAY, November 28 and my dress is stuck at the Tailor Shop.
They've been closed November 13-30! 17 days CLOSED with NO communication

I took in a bridesmaids dress with a slit, and with lace. The hymn, the straps, and taking in on the sides were perfectly done! Alterations were very timely. Everyone that works here are super nice and easy to talk to. I will return here for all future alterations.

I took a pair of jeans in to have a new zipper put in. I'm guessing I got taken. They charge me $16 upfront before they would do the work. I was told they would be done November 18. I went on the morning of the 18th at 11:20 AM and the sign on the door said closed from November 15 to 23. But they said they would be open from 11 to 3 during those days for pick up. The door was locked and store was dark. I went back this morning November 24 and a new sign on the door says due to the health and safety of our employees we are closed. So now will I ever get my jeans is the question. I see they

I had used this shop just twice. The first time they were actually altering my slacks on the day promised while I watched. They were that far behind the promised delivery. The second time, they couldn't even find my slacks though I had a ticket. Finally, they found them un-altered and asked me to wait while they did the work. It took about 10 minutes and they handed me the slacks with more wrinkles and creases than when I had brought them in. They didn't bother to press the slacks or put them in plastic over the hangers. I will not return to this shop.

Sy's Tailor shop is located in the North Park business complex in Northwest Omaha. They are my goto for any alteration needs for my family or myself. Their excellent service , quick turnaround time and affordable pricing is why I'm a repeat customer. Give them a try next time you're in need of alterations.

I stopped in yesterday to drop off a pair of pants in the hopes of getting a ripped seam repaired before leaving for a trip next week. The kind woman working the front counter takes a quick look and then repaired the pants on the spot. When I asked her how much I owed, she refused to let me pay. I was so touched by her kindness and her willingness to help me so quickly. It absolutely made my day! If I have any other tailoring needs in the future, I'll definitely take them to Sy's Tailor!

Sy and his staff are wonderful to talk to and provide excellent services. I have been going to him for years! He has altered jackets and skirted suits for me as well as T- shirts and leggings! I am only 5'2" so a lot of my clothes require alterations.
His prices are reasonable and he is there for you in an emergency.
My grand daughter needed her First Holy Communion dress steamed and pressed and he was able to do it... same day!
Sy also shorten the sleeves on a baptismal gown and did an excellent job with that too.
Several years ago I got tired of carting my wedding gown around

They worked wonders on my wedding dress! They hemmed it and then took from the bottom and sewed into the side (bc I had gained /:) and charged me a reasonable price for the work. Very friendly. But, I'm giving 4 stars because they were very un-timely and would give me a day they would be done, I would drive all the way out there only to find that they didn't even have it done. But! It came out beautifully and my dress was perfect for my wedding day.

I have used Sy's Tailor Shop three times this year and have found the staff to be both friendly and competent.

The first time I used them was to have my suit pants let out (thanks to the good restaurants in Omaha).
The second visit was to have the sleeves of a new jacket shortened. When they were finished, it looked like the original. On the last visit, I need to have the legs on three pairs of jeans shortened. There is no difference between the new stitching and the stitching on the rest of the jeans.

I dropped the jeans off on the 11/24 and was scheduled to pick them up on 12/2. Late

I will never go to another tailor after multiple amazing experiences here! They are fantastic and personable here! Sy is a hoot to talk to and will make you feel like part of his family! They were able to get my suit sized in a matter of hours!! And it fit like a dream! Nothing but positive things to say !

I recently had my wedding dress altered here, and it turned out perfect. At first I was wary, because you typically have your dress altered from where you bought it, but I had to go with another option. I chose Sy's based off great reviews and was not disappointed! The staff is kind and attentive and the pricing is incredibly reasonable AND affordable. Upon receiving my dress after the alterations were complete, I was 100% satisfied with the fit, the detailing and the handling. Couldn't have asked for a better tailor!

The best tailor shop in Omaha that wont break your wallet! This place is always packed and busy, a good sign! They did an amazing job on hemming, bustling, etc for a wedding dress. Would take another dress there in a heartbeat. Customer service is amazing.

Extremely cheap. I took my whole bedding in there was a gigantic tear in the cotton and the putter fabric and she charged me 5$ and 2$ for a piillow very great craftsmanship

I purchased a dress online that was clearance for a formal event, and when I received it I realized it was a little too big up top. I looked up different tailors in Omaha and saw that Sy's specialized in "homecoming and prom dresses," so I brought my dress in to them.

I dropped my dress off 17 days before I needed it done. When I arrive at the shop at 10:30 am to pick it up, it wasn't there. They told me that the person working on my dress hadn't brought it in yet, and they would call me when he had. So I waited by the phone until 2:30, then I called them. Still nothing
