Ballet Technique is directed by Julie Caprio who has many years of professional ballet experience. Ballet Technique, located in Mercer County, New Jersey, has been actively in business since 1986. The school offers all levels of ballet to students of all ages. The curriculum is designed to teach and strengthen classical technique.
Beginning classes establish good habits and the foundation for future progress. Intermediate levels increase vocabulary and sequences of center practice. Advanced levels continue to perfect their placement and execute center work with greater precision. The school philosophy is to bring together and strengthen the body and mind in ballet technique.

I am truly blessed to have grown up at Ballet Technique, a place I very much consider a second home. Julie Caprio shapes her students to be multi-dimensional dancers - masters of technique, historians of the craft, and artists of emotion. But more than that, her care extends to the whole of the individual, and as such she has certainly made an impact on the person I am today; for that I am forever grateful.

Ballet Technique wasn’t just my ballet school growing up—it was a second home. I learned not only how to dance with good technique, but also how to dance with joy, work hard with passion, and the importance of community and cameradie. I became a professional dancer and teacher even after taking many years off, and I attribute that to Julie Caprio’s wonderful training. I have been training with Julie Caprio for over 22 years and her instruction is superb! Julie gave me all of the tools I needed to become a professional dancer, and also taught me valuable life lessons along the way.

Julie is truly a special teacher. Not only is her own ability phenomenal after years of dancing professionally but her teaching ability to connect with students is one that is rare to find. Julie has an innate sense that allows her understand each student and how they work and what ways are best to get them to understand not only ballet but themselves. I have danced here for over 20 years now. It is such a kind, nurturing environment like no other dance studio. This studio is a blessing to my life. If you have children who want to dance, send them here! If you’re an adult and you want to dance, go! Julie Caprio is a wonderful mentor.
