Services
After years of treating women for endometriosis and other reproductive conditions, I have seen the benefit that minimally invasive surgery offers women for the treatment of various conditions. At Advanced Women's Health Care, we treat women who suffer from a variety of conditions including endometriosis, pelvic pain, incontinence, heavy uterine bleeding, uterine fibroids, and pelvic prolapse.
Constipation, diarrhea, abdominal bloating, or pain with bowel function which increases at the time of the menstrual periods. We've helped hundreds of women from across the country with our minimally invasive approach. We may be able to help you. To initiate the process or ask a question, please use our Secure Patient Contact Form to contact Dr. Robbins.
When uterine lining, or endometrium ("metri" means uterus, and "endo" refers to inside lining), is found outside the uterus in the abdominal cavity, this is Endometriosis. Endometriosis will respond to Estrogen and can cause pain with menstrual cycles, pain with sexual intercourse, chronic unrelenting pelvic-back-hip-leg pain, and infertility.
I specialize in laparoscopic excision of endometriosis. If there is endometriosis/fibrosis into the pelvic sidewalls, by the vessels and ureters, or deep in the pelvis near the bladder or rectal wall, then that is no problem since that is what I do every week and it is what people travel here for. Depending on the situation there are times I will excise rectal or bladder endometriosis and laparoscopically suture repair the rectum or bladder.
Endometriosis can involve all peritoneal surfaces, including the pelvic sidewalls near the ureters and on the bladder flap peritoneum overlying the bladder. Usually, only the peritoneal surface is involved. Endometriosis starts superficial and then invades progressively deeper into the underlying tissues.

Report
Dr. Robbins has completely CHANGED MY LIFE. I traveled from NC just to see him, and it was completely worth all of the time, effort and money.
He actually listened to my symptoms, and he did not treat us condescendingly when we mentioned not wanting children, he just listened and took care of me! Other doctors wanted to just do a total hysterectomy and be done with it, Dr. Robbins saved an ovary, as well as excised endometriosis from my diaphragm, bowels, and other places. Now I am living 95% pain free, and did not have to go into menopause at age 26!

Report
I had surgery with Dr. Robbins on December 6th. From the first time I contacted him, I was greeted with kindness, understanding, and a wealth of information that I had failed to find elsewhere. Dr. Robbins was very thorough in my treatment plan and explained everything to me so that all of my questions were answered before I could even ask!
Overall, I am very satisfied with the outcome of my surgery. Dr. Robbins is by far the most skilled and knowledgeable doctor on endometriosis in the state of Maine. He provides answers and reassurance that are truly second to none. Thank you again, Dr. Robbins
