Dr. Essex is a graduate of Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton, CA. Her externships included The Center for the Partially Sighted in Pasadena, CA and Shiprock Indian Hospital in Shiprock, NM. She received her undergraduate degree from Union College in Lincoln, NE. Originally from CO, she is proud to be back serving in her home state.
Internal Exam - This is an evaluation of the retina and optic nerve while your eyes are dilated. Visual Function and Eye Health - This includes testing depth perception, color vision, peripheral vision and response of the pupils to light, as well as an evaluation of eye focusing, eye teaming and eye movement abilities.

This is the worst I've experienced. I had a special appointment for a retinal scan per my MDs request. I came in on time and was told that the machine had broken the day before. No one was capable or thoughtful enough to let me know. When I arrived, not much was going on, employees waiting for customers, not placing a call. This was the second time that I had decided to use them for my optical needs. Last year was no better for different reasons: delayed glasses, issues with the lenses, had to be sent back, a fiasco. Hands down the best Optical office I have ever been to. From the first phone call, to my visit, to pick up, everything was stellar. Alex and Michael were exceptional in helping me find the perfect pair of frames. You can’t beat same day service either. Their selection is massive with all different price points. After having an unpleasant experience at another location Michelle and Michael the managers at the Monaco location treated me and my family like we’ve been customers of theirs for five years (it has been about five years). They payed attention with great detail and incomparable hospitality to the comport and sense of welcome to me and my family. We all have our own style of glasses and I’ll admit we are each extremely picky but when it comes to things like glasses that you’ll be wearing for the next few years Michael and Michelle seemed to have a great understanding to this and did not care

This place is awesome I called another place when my daughters glasses broke trying to get her in and they couldn't get her in for 3 weeks I had no idea what I was gonna do until I called optical masters they were able to get my daughter in that same day and her glasses were made within one hour I plan on coming here for life and bringing my children here as well. The cost is really reasonable so happy I came here

I must say, over the last 10 or 15 years, I have been QUITE impressed with Optical Masters! They go over and beyond to please their customers. I was ESPECIALLY impressed with an employee that I referred to as "WYOMING "; wasn't sure of his name, I believe it could be JOSH?? He gave me the impression, he was not there for a paycheck, he absolutely LOVED his job. There were a few concerns, I did not quite understand. I returned to optical masters, and he walked me through it, to provide me with a better understanding. He listened attentively, gave me a little "in-service"

I would give them 5 stars but the younger male sales associate with the darker hair is rude and always makes me feel very uncomfortable. I've had to interact with him almost every time I've come in, within the the past couple of years and always ask for a different associate. The rest of the crew is great, the manager is awesome, she is always friendly and helpful. They have a great selection and usually have good discounts, the eye exams are thorough and the Optometrists are friendly, just avoid the rude sales associate.

They take time to help you with your frame selection and any other optical needs you may have. Their customer service is truly exemplary. The optometrists are just as nice and helpful. It is very easy to be scheduled and be seen by them. Last but not least, the product selection at Optical Masters is second to none. Staff was nice, but really pushy when it came time to but contacts. I told them I like to wear the lenses for a week to make sure I like them, but they kept insisting I get this brand because they have an awesome rebate. The eye dr was nice, however, I have never had such a bad prescription. My left contact is blurry and my right contact is over powered which is causing a terrible headache. I'm using my contacts I have left from my outdated prescription until I can be seen by a more skilled O.D.

Just okay. I had a scheduled appointment on a Saturday morning for an eye exam. I arrived on time and proceeded to wait for about an hour. I was very happy with the doctor who did the eye exam. The prices are slightly better than average, which is great since I have no vision insurance. I may or may not be back.

I've been coming to optical masters for awhile now. Just for a annual eye exam, let me just say usually my eye exam take about 10 to 15mins. Today it took like 5 mins ummm yeah. Really fast makes me think are they even checking it? So after that they push you to buy there contact lenses, like super pushy. I rejected the offer and she was so piss. Like really piss. I ask the lady at the counter may I have a copy of my prescriptions and she told me to wait ok.... so I waited an extra 10mins for a copy, so I got my prescriptions and the funny things is both my eyes are almost alike which I doubt

Hands down the best selection of frames in one place! I was shocked when I walked in the door. I expected it to be like a smaller place with less selection.
Service was good and I ended up buying some frames. The prices on the lenses seem expensive so I did not use them for lenses or eye exam as I already had the exam done.
I would def recommend going to this company to look for sunglasses or glasses. Tons of designer eyewear and discount as well.
