Originally from Chicago, Dr. Kait Speth attended the University of Arizona in Tucson for her undergraduate degree in sociology. During this time and afterward she worked for many years in the optometric field as an optician, a surgical assistant, and an optometric technician.
Upon completing her degree, she decided to pursue a goal of moving to her happy place - Colorado! - and worked for Dr. Patel at Urban Eyes Vision Care as the office manager for several years.She also attended Metro State taking night and weekend classes to complete biology, chemistry, and physics pre-requisite courses for optometry school.

At Urban Eyes Vision Care, we offer you a comprehensive eye examination, diagnosis and treatment of eye disease, and if interested, information about corrective eye surgery. Likely, your eyes will be dilated to facilitate a more thorough evaluation of your ocular health. Included in the exam is OCT technology, a scan which allows for the early detection of eye disease.
Our office provides many brands of soft contact lens trials, and we are always up to date with the latest advancements in contact lens technology and material improvements. We take into consideration the health of the eye, ocular measurements, and lifestyle requirements to find the best contact lenses for our patients.
Here at Urban Eyes we carry numerous independent eyewear lines that are hand-picked by our staff. Our inventory changes regularly as we meet with our eyewear lines to hand select the latest in spectacle trends as well as classic frame styles. Our frames range from minimalist metals to vibrant acetates.

Yesterday was my first time at Urban Eyes. I was impressed by the short wait times, attentive staff, and knowledgeable eye doctor. They also had a unique eyewear collection and infinite patience with my kiddo and me when we were trying on so many pairs. The entire office is engaging in very safe COVID prevention practices as well. I feel lucky to live so close to my new eye care team!

Emily was very professional, friendly, and helpful in helping me pick out frames! Great customer service from her! My glasses took roughly a month to get in but I believe that was the manufactures doing, not Urban Eye Vision Care. They were very professional and responsive by keeping me up to date with my glasses with any updates/questions I had while they were in the process of being made. Will be going back!

I’ve been an Urban Eyes patron since 2017 and have always been given exceptional customer care and service. That have provided me everything from eye exams, buying new glasses, having sunglasses re-lensed, and getting scratched lenses replaced on warranty. When an issue for a very special pair of my glasses frame came up they went far and beyond to correct the problem. Even during this pandemic they maintain the best professional care and service you can ask for. I really appreciate them for being the high-class optometry shop they are in our community.

Urban Eyes, Dr. Patel, and Warren were incredible. It was the most thorough eye exam my husband and I have ever had. We felt immensely taken care of! All I can say is wow. Before we even began looking at glasses, Jessica was incredibly rude. She was unfriendly upon greeting me, she interrupted me as I began to talk telling her saying that I forgot my frames. She asked me what we were doing since I forgot my frames. She then mentioned that I forgot my frames three times in less than a minute. I then pulled out the prescription for the two sets of glasses I was here to fill, and I told her I wasn’t sure of the process or how it worked and she cut me off and said that she has filled prescriptions from my eye doctor before and she’s aware of

Dr. Patel is the best eye doctor! She pays attention and listens to her patients, gaining a better understanding of how best to help. I’m a confusing eye patient, but Dr. Patel has figured out what I need an why. The staff is amazing, too! They are incredibly helpful and upbeat. Calling in for anything is so easy because of their expertise and positive attitudes! I highly recommend Urban Eyes Vision Care!!

I had my first experience with Urban Eyes many months ago when I walked in asking for a screw for my sunglasses. The front office staff fixed and adjusted my glasses for free with complete professionalism. After that experience, I was happy to transfer my care to them. Today I had the most thorough eye exam I have ever had with Dr. Patel. Dr. Patel was more knowledgeable about the the ophthalmic side effects of my cancer therapy medication than my oncologist...I am so greatful. Her front office staff are not just receptionists but rather trained in performing eye testing, expert in insurance

I was referred to Urban Eyes Vision from a co-worker and I cannot emphasize how great they are! I'm a little nervous around doctors and they were so kind and made the experience fun. The two assistants at the front helped me pick out a pair of glasses and it was great old time.

I never really think much about my eye exam because I’ve never had many issues, but I was very impressed with the thoroughness of the doctor and team. I have never been very loyal to any optometrist but Dr. Patel was sharp and attentive to making sure all was well with my eyes. The front office team was nice enough but could have been a little friendlier.

Dr. Patel, Warren & the staff of Urban Eyes do an amazing job. Customer service and satisfaction is their primary goal (along with making sure that eyes are healthy). Great selection of high-end eyewear such as LaFont, IC Berlin & Carrera. Although Urban Eyes are not in-Network with my vision plan, I look forward to my next visit there.

Prescribed a brand of contacts I can only buy from this doctor. Seems incredibly shady. Told if I want to buy another brand elsewhere that I would have to come in for another fitting, which I assume would be another $60+. Also seems incredibly shady. Didn't really get an option not to receive a new supplemental eye exam for an extra $30+. Now you're just gaming me like a fool. Great location, just blocks from my house. Don't think I'll bother going back. I hope you enjoy my money!

I could not be more pleased with my experience at Urban Eye Care. I needed a new prescription for both my glasses and contacts. I was also looking for a new set of frames and had originally planned on buying some frames online in attempt to save some money. Dr. Patel was extremely personable, efficient with her time, yet never rushed.

I recently went in to look for new glasses. She helped me find just the right pair for me and was very helpful in letting me know about all my options (most of which I didn't know were available).

I called on Tuesday to see if I could get a same week Saturday appointment. The girl at the front desk, Kayla, said she could call me if there was a cancellation. They did have a cancellation and called Wednesday; I had never been there before. Kayla was awesome, the male eye technician, I feel bad I can't think of his name, but he was great, and the eye doctor was great as well! I now have my first pair of contacts and I love them! I also explained to the doctor that I have anxiety attacks so she worked with me and didn't make me dilate my eyes. They were all incredibly nice, and understanding

I just went for my first-ever optometrist appointment and saw Dr. Patel today. She was so wonderful, especially to fit me in on a moment's notice because of a concern with my retina. All staff at Urban Eyes were a pleasure to work with and I'd highly recommend them. I even found a great pair of glasses in their store!

**VSP Vision Network users pay attention to costs***
I was referred to Urban Eyes from my VSP vision insurance. The shop is really cute and has great brands for glasses. If you are not looking for expensive frames this place is probably not for you.... I got some amazing Kate Spade frames!
When you check in there is a form you have to fill out and a laminated sheet explaining that they are going to do a special treatment on you that costs an additional $39 co-pay. Luckily I caught that or I would have been even further surprised by my ending bill. I asked them not to do the service. I think
