Locally-owned and operated automotive repair shop established by Bill Hahn in 1974, currently family-owned and operated by a couple of Ventura natives, including two brothers with local legacy garage roots going back to the 1950s. One is an old school style master mechanic with second-to-none diagnostic skills and a wicked red flat top above his long ole wise-man beard.
The other is a self-taught, self-described "car guy" with one foot in race engines and the other in computer electronics. The seasoned crew at Hahn's Automotive work well together to service, repair and maintain vehicles and take care of customer's needs quickly, effectively, and at a fair price.

We had the privilege of using Bill Hahn for years. Through that time Bill had really taken care of the family vehicles. We were saddened to learn that he would be leaving and we're willing to stay for the transition. While it was confusing for the new owners during the change it was confusing to us as well. We didn't get off to a great start and communication was really the issue, mistakes were made although they certainly attempted to make it all correct. We had returned after some months to find a complete overhaul to service and ground. We would highly recommend the service and look

I chose this repair shop for my yearly inspection and was very pleased with the service and price. The mechanics located a rodent's nest had been clogging up my air filter and were so kind as to remove the nuisance for me at a very fair price for how disgusting the task must have been. Great service and definitely a much fairer price than any dealership or chain repair shop.

Josh is awesome, been going to his shop since Bill was there, has always been reasonable and honest about the repairs of my car. Did body work, transmission other car repairs due to a an accident back in 2017... my car was slipping in gears and leaking transmission oil, but I know josh and his mechanics will take care of my car. I also want to add that Amber )josh wife)does an amazing job handling all that she does .. all of you are amazing!!

First went to Bill Hahn several years ago to try to save an engine that we had rebuilt elsewhere. He and his team did a great job, and was very cost effective. So when I suddenly needed to move cross-country for a new job, with an older car that was leaking oil and overdue for major service including timing belt, I called Hahn Auto. After we had a nice talk with the new team about Bill having retired (finally! good for him!), they got me in and completed ALL services in less than a week and at a price significantly less than I expected. Immediately, we packed the car and took off for a 3-day drive

I had been taking my then 2009 Jetta wagon to bill for a couple of years due to his stellar reputation and honest and friendly demeanor. I was surprised to hear bill had retired, and began taking my 2001 Tahoe in for service under new ownership with Josh. Josh has been nothing short of friendly, forthcoming,helpful and honest in my dealings with both mine and my wife's cars.
He has definitely maintained my business and trust to work on my family's cars. I never hesitate to refer any business his way. Sending my mother there today to look at her Lexus.

I was sad and a bit skeptical when I found out that Bill had retired and that the shop would be taken over by someone new, but I wanted to give Josh a chance to keep my business, and was comfortable knowing it was the same crew staying with him. Needless to say, I have been happy with the servicing of my car as well as the customer service provided by Josh. It's nice to know you have a place that won't take advantage of you.

This is a review based on what they did outside of an oil change. Took the vehicle here for a synthetic swap based on the good yelp reviews and us being in the area after breakfast. We dropped it off and when the guy called saying it was done he also said that he had done other work on it totaling additional $$. He never called to ask if it was okay to fix tail lights, rear windshield wiper etc. but rather did it without permission and just expected us to be fine with it. Unprofessional, simply just ASK us before. Regardless of the cost, please check before making fixes. $40 is one thing but what

The shop was sold at the beginning of 2016 (this year) to Josh, the brother of one of the mechanics. Bill is no longer connected to the shop.
Based on my past experience, I had every reason to believe the new owner would be as good.
I brought my car in to have my rear braking system looked at. Josh told me he had even worked on a similar car. I provided him with a parts manual

So bummed Bill is gone... He was amazing.. Very disappointed with service from Josh ... I felt like I was deceived. He Completely overcharged me for minor work that he made sound complicated and intense until I called him on it. Also forgot

Just called to make an appointment, talked to Josh. He took the time to go through my questions, (even though I am an inexperienced consumer), he made it easy to do business. I made an appointment for tomorrow (2/4/16).
