I have been customer of Lyerly's for years. Not once have I ever had a problem. Thats some kind of personal beast
I brought a blanket in to be dry cleaned. Its a Hudson Bay Antique Blanket.
Our friends were coming to town. They are big Hudson Bay Point Blanket Collectors. It was going to be great fun to find out from them the historical significance of this blanket. I brought this valuable iconic blanket to Lyerly's with no expectation except professional service0 as usual.
The blanket was to be ready on the 15th... no blanket on the 18th.

I recently dropped off a few items that were scheduled to be ready and picked up on a Thursday. When I arrived, half of the items were ready but they were missing a suit that had been taken elsewhere for cleaning. The truck that delivers the cleaned items to their locations was supposedly on the way but it was 530 pm, so traffic was not ideal. I waited awhile but didn't need the suit immediately so asked about getting it delivered so I didn't have to make another trip into the store. Use as an absolute last resort. I was passing through Charleston for one day and needed to dry clean a suit and shirts for an important meeting the following day. I went to Lyerly's because of the same day option.
Upon my return that evening, they had "computer problems" and couldn't tag clothes so couldn't locate my items. I went in the back and searched and found my suit, but no shirts. I ended up having to buy new shirts. Two days later the shirts were found.
Based on the consistently bad reviews and lack of management reply, I'd recommend taking your business

Dropped off a pricey silk blouse for dry cleaning-had a water spot (maybe white wine) on the front. They did get the spot out, but in the process, returned it to me with 2 spots that looked like a sharpee pen had bled onto the fabric-one on the sleeve and one on the back of the blouse. Additionally, color had been "bleached" from the collar. I didn't notice these issues until I paid and took my items home and unwrapped them. They told me their policy was to first clean it again. No and no. I asked for medium starch on a shirt & got no starch, plus some wrinkles. The lapel on my suit jacket was creased right in the middle from the steaming process. I needed the stuff done next day so had to re-steam the jacket myself that night. If you use these guys, check their work before you leave and don't use them for something that you need the next day, or you could be SOL.

Having recently moved to Charleston, we were hoping to find a reliable dry cleaner for my partner's military uniforms. Our only requirement is that the uniform be cleaned in a timely manner. The first time we brought the uniform here, they did a great job - clean and ready in a couple days for about $10. We decided to bring a blanket to be cleaned. We were told it would take 2 days but due to "problems at the factory" we received it more than 2 weeks late. They also said there had been a mix up and the names associated with garments had been lost, so it may take even longer for them

Although I love the Lyerly's off of Coleman Blvd, after recently moving, the location off of Longpoint Road is much more convenient. I've gone here multiple times and have had issues most of the time upon pick up.
They offer an in by 9 out by 5 service, but I've found that this service is usually unavailable. Not a big deal because I haven't really needed to utilize it. My family and I have used Lyerly's Cleaners in Mt. Pleasant on Coleman Blvd. for many years. The service has always been superb!!! Ann & Sandy are friendly, courteous, and efficient during their service to us. We feel like we are their only customers as they take such good care of us. Mrs. Sandy and Mrs. Ann are so helpful every time I come into the store and drop off my clothes to be cleaned. Not only do I bring my clothing in but I have also taken comforters and some household goods and they came out fantastic! Every time I drop off my items these ladies are extremely friendly and always have a smile on their face. I couldn't ask for better service and will continue to remain a reliable customer with Lyerlys Dry Cleaners!

Went here for many years. Despite having a VIP bag and my request for "folded" shirts being in several places, they kept coming back on hangers, much to the consternation of the revolving door employees who worked there who I liked but felt sorry for. No way to contact an owner. Finally moved my business to KB cleaners across the street. Very pleased.

Steer clear of this mismanaged establishment!!
I dropped clothes off on a Monday 9/1. The clothes were needed for a business trip leaving CHS on Saturday 9/6. Prior to opting for normal pick-up, I asked if they would be ready before the weekend--several times. The woman assured me it would be ready Friday 9/5.
On Friday, I stopped to pick up everything for my trip the next day at 5:30 pm. Just one piece of clothing from the bundle was ready. To make things worse, they couldn't give me the unclean clothes since they launder offsite.

Customer service is very bad.
They promote "same day shirts" right on the front door when you walk in but if you ask for that service, you are made to feel terrible or that it is quite a hardship for them. On a couple of occasions, the rep told me she didn't know why they don't take that statement off the door because it seems they don't want to offer that service. So I guess the customers just need to continue to feel bad about asking for it.
As for the 7:00a opening time, it doesn't seem that is accurate either. On a number of occasions I've been there at

Folks, this place is phenomenal. In a world where everyone expects Grade A service for Grade F pricing, Lyerly's is above the fray. These folks send an email when they will be in your neighborhood. They provide a bag, a door hanger and they pick up and deliver - no questions asked, without excuses - when they say they will.
I want to list names, but that might not be prudent. I am simply a loyal customer because of 2 people. I don't think they are the exception; I think they are the rule.
This company represents the standard for how a locally owned, family run business should be operated.
