Our ultimate goal is for kids to be excited about dentistry. If kids have a good time, learn the importance of having a healthy mouth and a healthy body, and want to come back again, then we have done our job. Our oce is designed with the child and parent in mind and is set up to feel like an extension of your home and not like a typical doctor's oce.
Pediatric dentists are the pediatricians of the mouth. Just like you take your children to see a pediatrician for their well-baby checks, pediatric dentists are trained and equipped to see your children from the very earliest age to set the stage for a lifetime of great oral health. Pediatric dentists just see kids, which means they can specialize their approach to this fun and energetic age group.
At San Diego Children's Dentistry, we will teach your children the importance of being healthy, starting with their mouths. A healthy mouth begins with the right diet and finishes with good oral hygiene techniques. We want to help your family establish the best habits from the earliest age. We will answer your questions about healthy snacks, fluoride use, brushing, flossing, and anything else you want to talk about.
We oer full-service, comprehensive dental care specialized for your child. Kids get cavities and we know how to x them and restore their teeth and smile back to full health. Following the exam and cleaning, each patient will receive an individualized treatment plan. We will discuss treatment options, dental materials, and any other factors to nd the best t for your child.
We want your children to be comfortable, relaxed, and happy while the lay back and receive dental care. We want all of our patients to have a great dental experience and be excited to come back. Our goal is for children to build positive memories of the dentist from an early age to help them establish healthy patterns for the rest of their lives.

I started taking my daughter here since she was 2 yrs old. I remember thinking it would be such a waste of time because my daughter would barely let me brush her teeth. So I decided to try it and see how it goes. Although she may be difficult...... the pediatric dentists know exactly how to get children to open their mouths and do a thorough exam. Im so thankful for them. They make the experience so joyful for my daughter. Thank you Dr. Younes and team for my daughters pleasurable experience.

Our son had a few challenges with a couple of his baby teeth. We received nothing but great care and assurance that everything would be ok. Even though my son isn't a big fan of coming to the dentist they always do their best to make him as comfortable and happy as possible while still getting the job done! Thank you for everything!

I travel over an hour to take my kids here. They are AMAZING people and so accommodating to my son that has intense anxiety about going to the dentist. If you haven't taken your children here yet then you are in for a real treat. Seriously, I cannot express how great this practice is. Thank you Dr. Frandsen!

I took my five-year old to the dentist for a regular checkup. It was our first time visiting San Diego Children's Dentistry in Poway. I highly recommend Dr. Peter S. Frandsen and his staff. My youth was cranky and nervous before we got there up to after arriving. Once in the office the staff was friendly and assuring. Dr. Peter S. Frandsen understands children, their fears, and how to reassure them, making the visit a positive one. I highly recommend San Diego Children's Dentistry for your family.

The office was immaculate! The staff were great and made the entire experience a breeze. After several traumatic dental experiences, this was our 4th dentist to try in less than 2 years. I was so nervous because my 4 yr old had to have pretty extensive dental work done and he was already traumatized from the last dentist he went to. Dr Frandsen made him feel so comfortable and made the experience fun. He went in super nervous and teary eyed and came out holding the dentist's hand, happy as can be, and didn't complain once the rest of the day. I'm SO thankful for pediatric dentists

My two children's dentist is Dr. Peter S. Frandsen and I have to say out of all the pediatric dentist we've used, he is by far the best! He's very knowledgeable, professional, and caring. His facility in Poway is super clean and a great environment for my kids to feel comfortable while they wait for their appointments. They even provide multiple kids movies to watch while my children are getting taken care of. They have the latest technology in the office and are very thorough when it comes to billing insurance correctly. All of the staff that works there are very welcoming &

Dr. Frandsen is amazing with the kiddos! Super nice, patient, and has a great sense of humor!!! All 3 of my kids (9, 7, and 5 years old) love him! His staff is also super nice and friendly! My middle son is on the autism spectrum and has had horrible experiences at the dentist, but that changed with Dr. Frandsen. He no longer has the anxiety he experienced going to the dentist! Dr. Frandsen also takes his time to explain what is going on to the parents. Strongly recommend Dr. Frandsen and San Diego Children's Dentistry!!! My kids actually like going to the dentist now.

I didn't know what to expect for our little 3 year old on her first real dentist appointment and cleaning. However, it was above and beyond. Dr. Frandsen and his team are incredible. 100% thorough, thoughtful, caring, and genuine. If you're in the area, this clean and modern office has everything and everyone you would hope to care for your kids dental needs.
