Newport Family Foot Care
Since 1998, Jordan S. Sheff D.P.M. has been striving to provide the best podiatric care in Newport, Rhode Island. Throughout his 20+ years of practice, he has found that treating patients with a sense of humor and humility go a long way. At Newport Family Foot Care, Dr. Sheff treats foot and ankle problems such as heel pain, infections of the foot, bunions, and other foot disorders.

Dr. Sheff is a Board Certified podiatrist, and his experience in podiatry is coupled with genuine concern for his patients. We are dedicated to your comfort, and our goal is to help you maintain healthy feet. Dr. Sheff has come across patients with all types of foot problems in his over 20 years of experience.
Services
When walking into our office for the first time, most patients are happily surprised to find that they have not walked into a stark, ordinary and mundane treatment facility. Instead they have the feeling that they have walked into someone's living room. We understand that for many, going to the doctor can be a stressful experience.
Stem cells are the fundamental cells in our bodies, which can become many types of tissue, including skin, tendon, muscle, bone, and cartilage. The amniotic stem cell injections Dr. Sheff utilizes are harvested from the amniotic sac, and not from an embryo. Although some may have ethical concerns about the use of embryonic stem cell therapy, the use of amniotic stem cell therapy should not raise any ethical or moral questions.
Utilizing the most up-to-date computer technology, our office can digitally map your foot structure which provides a perfect replica of your feet for our orthotics lab. A pair of custom orthotics is then fabricated for you with this information along with several measurements and recordings that Dr. Sheff takes of your feet.
Heel pain is most often caused by plantar fasciitis, a condition that is sometimes also called heel spur syndrome when a spur is present. Heel pain may also be due to other causes, such as a stress fracture, tendonitis, arthritis, nerve irritation, or, rarely, a cyst. Because there are several potential causes, it is important to have heel pain properly diagnosed.
Until recently, the only treatment available for painful Diabetic Neuropathy was medications. Narcotics and other pain medications, as well as various drugs made to address the pain associated with neuropathy, were the primary (if not only) treatments available. Although many of these medications can be effective and are in use throughout the world, many also have side effects and can not be tolerated.

I had as ideal of an experience as I could have asked for at Newport Footcare. Dr Sheff has a kind, down to earth style which made me feel comfortable in office as well as in surgery. His staff have been attentive to my needs when I've called into the office and kind in listening to my anxieties. Since surgery my foot has become virtually pain free and I am excited to become more active since having my bunion corrected! I would certainly recommend Dr Sheff and Newport Footcare.

I'm a retired RN after 45 years in the medical industry. After reading the reviews regarding the new receptionist, Rachael, of course I did not have the same experience. She was very nice to me and booked my appointments without any problems. Dr. Sheff is wonderful and has many credentials, if you take the time to review his website. Karen, the office manager, is a caring and knowledgeable person. I had a bunionectomy performed by Dr. Sheff at Newport Hospital in 2016 and never had one problem. Everyone was very professional and the experience was fun! I was back on my feet in literally

I went to this podiatry office mainly because the doctor uses the MLS laser to treat different foot ailments. I had a very positive first office visit with the doctor and Karen, the office manager. The doctor went above and beyond to listen to my concerns, was very kind, competent, and had great "beside manners". However, they hired a new receptionist, Rachel, who is extremely unprofessional and rude. She set up some appointments for me to receive the MLS laser treatments, but I had to reschedule them due to a conflict with my job. She became upset that I wanted to reschedule: Stating, "I was the

Dr Sheff is an excellent doctor but his new receptionist negates anything gained by using him. She rude and arrogant. Strongly recommend using a different doctor.

I am a professional ballet dancer with the Island Moving Company in Newport. A colleague recommended Dr. Sheff's office and I was grateful when I was able to quickly schedule an appointment regarding a inflammation injury in my right foot. Since this injury is work-related and affects my day-to-day performance, my company agreed to file a workman's comp claim to help me (my insurance is a high-deductible plan). I believe I mentioned this when scheduling my appointment--but, full disclosure--can't remember if I did for sure. However, when I arrived for my appointment this morning, I was informed
