The scanner utilizes lasers and cameras to ensure the most accurate measurements are taken. After the scanning is completed, our specialists fill out the order forum for the orthotic to produced using a 3D printer.

A few years ago we bought a pair of New Balance shoes for our son. We thought all was well with the shoes. Today, we went to Lauries shoes and had my son's feet measured. It was sad to find out comfort shoes sold us shoes that were too wide. Comfort shoes could have been professional and ordered a pair of shoes to fit. But they sold us what they had in stock.

What horrible customer service. Went in this past Saturday to look at Birkenstock shoes for my daughter. The person who ended up helping us was sitting at the desk when we walked in and took forever to greet or help us. When she did, she got upset we were looking on our phones at colors of Birkenstocks because my daughter wanted a specific color. She also didn't mind telling us she did not like us being on our phones. We tried some on and then my daughter wanted to think about it and decide what color she wants. I am unable to speak to prior reviews of the previous owners and employees. What I do know is this: I had prior orthotics remade here in August, 2017 by an employee named Michelle. Patience, step by step, and careful adjustments made by her have led to the MOST comfortable orthotics I could have hoped for. It took Michelle and I several weeks of tweaking and trying it out to finally get it right. I cannot speak more highly of Michelle's knowledge and expertise. I will return to this store as long as she is there and will try to find her if she is not. My feet feel GREAT!!!

I don't have a choice I have a doctor telling me I need special orthotic shoes. I can say though, without a doubt they are the best in the St. Louis area. I had my appointments taken on time with no waiting they professionally cast my feet and had my shoes back in the time frame they said I would get them. I had an issue with the tongues pulling sideways after wearing the shoes for a few weeks. I came in for a checkup and Edith noticed it. Then she took them and sewed one side in place so it would not move. I am so pleased with the service and friendliness at this establishment the cost was well

Comfort shoe was awful when I went there before a trip to South America. I was not given any kind of 'fitting' that they advertise (although I watched someone else- also a walk in- get that done). I was told it wasn't necessary for me. I have problem feet and went there for that reason. I was there two hours and the salesman was perfectly nice but was more interested in telling me about his military service in Peru than he was in finding me shoes. I had to take my daughter to get orthotics and did not know where to turn as our pediatrician suggested OTC orthotics. We found comfort shoe and they have amazing at fitting my 9 year old and she no longer has sore feet and heels!! We bought sandals at that store and were able to walk all day at an amusement park in sandals!! We thank you Comfort Shoe. No more sore feet or heels for us !

On May 21, 2016 i made a purchase at Comfort Shoe Specialists. One of the items that I purchased was a pair of Women's Chaco Sandals that were "on sale". When I tried on the sandals they felt a bit snug but I was assured that they would "stretch" to conform to my feet. I have shopped for orthotics and shoes at Comfort Shoes for decades. I have really unusual feet, and they have unusual patience fitting me. Yes, the shoes are pricey, but I wear them for ten years or more. Whenever I need any kind of adjustment, I just go--they keep records of my shoe and feet needs. I high recommend them.

I have been a customer of Comfort Shoe for over 10 years. They are the only store that could furnish shoes and orthotics to my satisfaction. They truly are a store with comfortable shoes. Before them I spent 30 years wearing boots to give my feet support. It was terrible.

I have always had very good experience with Comfort Shoe Specialist. They take their time to figure out your problem and then work with you until it is right. They do not rush you. It is best to make an appointment and to allow at least an hour ( or maybe more if it is your first visit) They have helped me out tremendously and would not hesitate to recommend. I usually see Edith , but the rest of the staff is very friendly and helpful also.

It took me forever to finally find a place like this! I'd always struggled finding shoes to fit my long narrow feet and super high arches. New Balance high top 16D shoes were the most comfortable, I just needed to make them feel narrower. I heard good things about Comfort Shoe Specialists so I gave them a shot. Edith made my first pair of spacers a few years ago, and when I put them in and took a few steps, I think I, a grown man, actually giggled out loud. Finally, relief! I just got my 3rd set the other day and as usual, Edith made another perfect pair. Go see her and her team, she is the BEST

I don't know why anyone goes here. If you don't have an appointment, they are extremely rude. I didn't, just was in to look. I can look at shoes without an appointment, right?? They are just strange. I will never go back. They are so full of themselves and have gotten into trouble for Medicare fraud.

The customer service experience is beyond compare (best to make an appointment though because this isn't just a shoe store, its a shoe experience)... and my feet and knees feel so much better! I was not pleased with my visit. I went into this store looking for comfortable shoes. I just wanted to find nice shoes nothing else. Instead I was pushed to buy orthotics. When I said I wasn't interested I was scolded by the salesperson (Jesse). He told me that I am harming myself and I should take his word for it and will regret it. Because I turned down his offer for "3D" orthotics which cost $435.00 the rest of my "service" was horrible. Like another reviewer, on my first visit II did not know an appointment was mandatory and was read the riot act. They did some kind of foot imprint test but failed to tell me I would have to pay for it unless I bought a pair of their expensive shoes. The shoes I purchased were comfortable for a while but started rubbing the side of my foot. When I took them back this week, the specialist said he would "modify" the insole to make the shoe more stable. AFTER he did that, he advised me there was a $60 charge for this! First, they have great, high quality shoes at a competitive price. I was not able to find the style and brand I purchased anywhere else for a better price, even on eBay.
That said, my customer experience was not good. I did not schedule an appointment because even though it is offered on their website, it does not appear to be required and I did not know exactly what time I would be finished with a prior appointment and be in that area. DO NOT GIVE THIS PLACE YOUR BUSINESS. The owner, Edith, is the most unprofessional person I have ever met. I have been going here for years and am extremely disappointed.
