Services
We work hard to be your first choice for bicycles, clothing, and accessories. With our online store, you can browse our selection from anywhere and visit us to pick up your new gear at your convenience. In-store pickup is always free! At Dirty Harry's, we're proud to have master bicycle mechanics and to offer professional wheel building.
At Dirty Harry's, every member of our staff is here to help you enjoy your next bike ride. We have talented mechanics who sometimes make their way onto the sales floor to answer questions. We have folks who tear up local trails, commute daily, and can't wait to help you get started on your two-wheeled adventure.
Our customers enjoy cycling more, reach their fitness goals sooner, and get honest value for their hard-earned dollars because of the work we do. Would you like to be a part of our awesome team? We offer flexible hours, competitive benefits and special savings on the products we carry. Ask about job opportunities the next time you're in our store, e-mail us, or call 412-828-2667 to learn more.
We stand behind everything we sell. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, simply return the item within 30 days and we'll replace it or give you a refund. Note: Orders usually ship one business day after being placed. Please note that some items may be subject to additional shipping and handling charges because of size or weight.
Our service staff is professionally trained and certified to work on all makes and models of bicycles, not just the ones we sell. And each member of the service team participates in skill-advancement sessions with factory service techs several times each year. Whether it's a minor tune-up or a major overhaul, you can count on us to do the job right the first time.

Worst customer service.

While the turn around time on my bike repair was fast, the owner, Barry's attitude towards me was terrible and the bike service department did a bad job.

Dirty's bike service department did not fix the root cause of the problem so while on my next ride, I had serious problems and had to cut my ride short.

Dirty Harry's was great, got my daughter set up on the right size bike, and took all kinds of time with her, no rush at all or trying to sell us anything extra. Focused on making sure she fit the bike and understood the controls. Great job.👍

Bought a new Specialized hybrid bike from them in January 2021. Bike came without an internal seat clamp. Part was so hard to find but Dirty Harry’s staff fixed the problem and sent me the part. Good group! Would recommend!

Good store, decent selection of mtb products and not just filled with road bike products like every other bike shop in Pittsburgh.

I've had two separate minor services done recently and was very impressed how quickly they were able to turn them around - both times it was ready the next day. I also stopped in for a new chain and some tools and was directed to exactly what I needed. Very knowledgeable and competent staff!

Bicycles are impossible to find right now due to Covid limiting other activities, so I wasn't too hopeful when I called Dirty Harry's, but Jeff asked what type of biking we were planning to do and recommended two perfect bikes for our needs. He was very knowledgeable and friendly, and about 4 hours after first speaking with him, I was leaving the shop with my first bicycle since my teenage years. Thanks, Jeff!

I took my bike in to get some work done, one of which was new tires that were better suited for gravel. After I got my bike back, I realized the tires were very low (around 40 psi) so I pumped them up. When fully inflated, the new tires were too big to roll under the fenders. When I took it back, they were nice enough to put smaller tires on, but they just put on whatever they had in stock - which were road bike tires - nothing with the tread I need gravel even though I reminded them of this. At this point, I decided to just be done with it and buy tires somewhere else. The next morning when I

Well- trick me once shame on THEM...trick me twice shame on me.
I let go the bad experience I had with them a few years ago, when I was completely ignored and couldn't get them to answer me or talk to me.
Today I called and asked about a bike and the guy on the phone was so rude and seemed so annoyed that I was asking about getting a bike..."all bikes are hard to come by" he snarled.
So disappointed, because they do have good bikes and gear.
See ya- never!

I've patronized this place twice. Staff totally ignored me on both accounts. Never will I beg to spend my money at an establishment. The customer definitely comes 2nd in this place. I'd never recommend.

Jeff at dirty Harry's is phenomenal! I've been looking for a bike for weeks but have been met with rude people with no customer service. Jeff was extremely kin, thorough, and patient. I left with a great bike and a new bike family for life!

All three staff members I interacted with were condescending and pretentious. Repair shop staff reacted like I requested one of his kidneys when I asked about having a dropper post installed. Another staff member was less than thrilled he had to endure ringing my purchase out. I would not recommend this store to anyone and I will be taking my business elsewhere.

They won't work on bikes they didn't sell to you, don't bother asking. They do respond quickly to Facebook Messenger messages though

Bought 2 different bikes here and have all my service done here. Everyone I've ever dealt with has been friendly and knowledgeable. I'd highly recommend shopping here instead of the chain stores!

I was recommended this place by a coworker to get my GT fixed. The gears weren't cooperating so I showed up with my son and waited patiently for staff to get done with their pointless conversation to be acknowledged. I am not a rude person or I would have said something but after getting my work started I was looking around and my son sat on a bike he really liked and an employee said something obnoxiously about breaking something! Seriously? He wanted my son off the bike and after that I left. I came back to get my bike and after riding it for a few miles realized they didn't even fix

We bought our first bicycles at Dirty Harry's about 4 or 5 years ago. It was time to upgrade to something better than the starter bikes that we had and we would not even think of shopping anywhere else. We went back today for new bikes. They took their time to find the bicycles for our needs. Then they properly sized us and made all of the correct adjustments to the bike so that it matched our body size and type. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and patient with this process. We are so happy with our new bikes and the experience that we had shopping there. Thank You!

We love Dirty Harry's. They have completed bicycle maintenance for us many times. The staff are very friendly, super knowledgeable, and ready to assist in any way. Obviously, going to a bike shop is going to be more expensive than Amazon or Walmart - but this is one of the hometown businesses I'm more than happy to support. We are looking forward to growing our family bike gear so we can enjoy the hobby together - especially with a shop full of fantastic choices and helpful staff.

As someone who bikes 30-60 miles a week on average I have been to a couple bike shops in my life. Dirty Harry's is definitely my favorite. It's not the closest to me but the staff makes it worth the trip.

Bicycle shops are never the cheapest way to get gear, but it's the quality and assistance of bike shops that keep them alive. I recently bought a new 700c (Trek Verve 2) and after 50 miles or so I'm happy to report it's been nothing but wonderful. The guy who helped me out was very personable and helped me find the best bike for what I needed it to do.

I will never step foot in this place again.

I used this shop because I needed a proprietary Trek headset bearing , they are a Trek dealer, and I was in the neighborhood.

I knew that the setup on my older road bike headset was unconventional, because a tech from a different shop carefully showed me and even did a little research on it for me - free of charge. (THANK YOU Larry from Performance Bike in East Liberty!).
I spoke with the guy at the counter at Dirty Harrys explaining that I needed help with my headset, and that it involved a proprietary part from Trek. He blatantly told me I was

Have bought several bikes and numerous pieces of gear from them always at the highest msrp. Their mechanics couldn't care less about you and your bike. After being sold on Stans Tubeless tire solution, they offered to install in on my wheels and when it blew out my back tire seconds into my first ride all they did was laugh and refuse me a refund. Last time I had my bike in for a tune-up I was up charged for everything they did as usual, AND while in the shop they broke my rear shock seal. When I brought it back they assumed none of the fault on their behalf and actually wanted to charge me

This is a great bike shop. The staff is very experienced, dedicated, and helpful. They are willing to give you whatever individualized attention you need on whatever level you need it. This is a friendly, local bike shop, and well worth the trip. They are not interested in the quick sale, but in cultivating you as a long term customer. The prices are reasonable for both repairs and for new bikes, I will be bringing my business here!

My favorite bike store in Pittsburgh. I live 3 blocks from two other shops, but I often will drive out to DH's just because the guys out there are so cool. Barry, the owner, is an awesome guy. I've bought a cross bike from them and had many small repairs done. They're always fun to talk to.
