Located 40 miles north of Pittsburgh, in an 1886 historic gem of a building along the beautiful Butler-Freeport Community Trail in Herman, Pennsylvania Step from the trail into our distinctive Cafe and Retail establishment, featuring wholesome food and refreshing beverages, bicycle repairs, rentals, accessories and gear.
Gavin Archer and Dee Stephen, both avid cyclists, wanted to create a business in Pennsylvania that incorporated the sport that they love. Derailleur was four years in the making. The couple completed extensive renovations to the property which included replacing the flooring, wiring, plumbing, and roof as well as demolishing a damaged train ticket office that was attached to the store.

A must stop when you’re riding the butler Freeport trail. They have a great selection of healthy choice treats and many types of coffee drinks. The latte I had really hit the spot on my way back to Freeport. Very friendly staff and the bike repair shop is such a nice addition to have there. I’ll be sure to stop every time I’m on the trail!
