Many of us go through life experiences without the support we need. At Psyche and Soma Psychotherapy Group, we specialize in and care deeply about working with folks who have faced and survived various kinds of trauma, anxiety, complex post-traumatic stress, and depression. We work with people who are exploring all parts of their identities, from relationships and work to sexuality, gender, spirituality, and creativity.
Challenging early life experiences affect the teen years and adulthood. This can lead to loneliness, despair, constant longing, confusion, panic, or withdrawal from life. You may have found yourself at a cross-roads where old ways of relating to yourself and others no longer serves you. Our therapists believe that symptoms are signals and messengers from our Psyche and physical bodies that want to help us heal.

Aside from traditional talk therapy, our therapists are trained in various forms of healing, such as Somatic Experiencing, Sandplay, and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).Couples and family therapy can be a powerful tool in helping people heal from hurts (past and current) and feel more connection with one another.

Your healing and self-discovery are very personal processes. In our personal and professional opinions, there is pre-determined time for your therapy to be over. Some people begin to feel relief of symptoms after a few sessions, but when you have faced certain struggles or have adapted for a long time, the process could take much longer to feel more solid in oneself, to allow yourself time to put into practice your new awareness.

The fact that Psyche + Soma offers so many ways of helping people is such a gift. I've had the pleasure of getting to know Ashleigh Sorenson and Jamie Weir and can't say enough good things about my experience with both of them. The minute you sit with Ashleigh, you feel her genuine care and presence. Talking with Jamie feels as comfortable as sitting with a trusted friend, who you know isn't judging you. Both of these women make me want to spill my guts ... in the best way possible. If you're looking for a really warm and accepting place to get support, Psyche + Soma is it.

Once you walk into the office, you are greeted with a warm welcome, and calming presence to wait for your therapist. The space is simply grounding and infused with healing energy. The offices are comfy, with a natural, earth-toned furniture to help support your healing journey. There is nothing over the top or flashy about this psychotherapy group. They are truly in the practice of healing for the sake of healing others. Ashleigh Sorensen LMFT is a highly compassionate, authentic, well-trained trauma therapist with a special skill set in Somatic Experiencing and sandtray therapy. To work through

Ashleigh and her team are absolutely amazing. I have had nothing but positive interactions with them. I consult with Ashleigh on a regular basis and she is always so kind and focused on helping in any way she can. Her team is trauma informed and focused on positive healing. I would highly recommend Ashleigh or anyone in her group for individuals, couples or family therapy!
