Anyone can deliver wood waste to our receiving yards from a pick-up truck to a flatbed semi trailer. MMR also offers open top dumpster services on site for large and small businesses. Incoming wood waste is processed into chips. MMR has several receiving yards for the recycling of accepted materials.

Services
MMR's corporate office is headquartered in Jackson, Michigan and its operating office is located in Flint, Michigan. It was established in 1993 for the purpose of establishing and operating wood waste recycling facilities in southern Michigan to serve the needs of the Genesee Power Station (GPS). GPS is a 38 megawatt wood waste fired cogeneration plant that produces process steam and electricity from wood waste and other renewable materials.
Mid-Michigan Recycling is the only facility in the area that can offer cradle to grave recycling services. We transport or receive wood waste from your site and process it through end delivery to the Genesee Power station where it is burned to create green electricity. MMR has the unique ability to mobilize it's processing operation, bringing a crew and variety of services to your site.
Recycling green wood waste at a biomasss power plant is carbon neutral and reduces greenhouse gases by displacing electricity generated from coal and preserves landfill space. Green wood waste is not only a renewable organic material but is also one of the oldest and most prevalent energy resources.
Wood Waste material received at our yards will be processed and transported to the Genesee Power Station. Additional charges will apply if the designated wood waste cans contain material other than wood waste (such as trash, packaging material, plastic, pop bottles, etc.) at a rate of $20.00 per cubic yard for disposal and $50.00 per hour in labor for trash removal.
Mid-Michigan Recycling classifies wood chips as already processed wood ready to be used as biomass fuel. MMR will purchase clean wood chips from approved contract brokers when delivered directly to the Genesee Power Station located in Flint, MI. Anyone (residents, landscape companies, tree services, etc.) can drop off clean wood chips at MMR wood receiving yards FREE of charge.
