Services
Our experienced team of veterinarians and veterinary technicians provide many services at our clinic, ranging from routine to advanced procedures. Although we handle the majority of your pet's medical and surgical needs in-house, we occasionally refer patients to veterinary specialists or specialty clinics when advanced training or equipment will be beneficial.
North Dekalb Veterinary Clinic offers a wide range of medical services for dogs and cats. While we cover your pets medical problems from pediatrics to Senior care, preventative health care is our primary focus. Our preventative care services include vaccinations based on risk assessments, parasite prevention, geriatric health screening, blood pressure monitoring, and obesity management.
Surgical services include: soft tissue surgery for such things as reconstructive wound repair, skin biopsies, tumor or mass removal, and repair of certain hereditary defects; abdominal surgery for bladder stone removal, intestinal surgery for foreign body removal or biopsy, liver and pancreatic biopsy, and splenectomies; and elective surgery for spays and neuters.
Our services cannot be provided without good pharmaceutical support. While we have a well stocked in-house pharmacy, we realize that we cannot carry every possible product that our patients may require. In addition to our in-house pharmacy, we rely heavily on local "human" pharmacies, compounding pharmacies and our online pharmacy.
Dental disease is one of the most common health issues pets will face during their lifetime. Regular dental care is vital to keeping pets healthy and comfortable. If dental care is needed, we are equipped to perform dental cleanings and full mouth dental radiographs, both of which are done under general anesthesia.

North DeKalb Vets took good care of my newly adopted cat and I plan to stay with them. I recently ordered flea and tick medication for my cat through their website email. They came highly recommended by my neighbor.

Have been bringing my dog Cali here for three years now. She gets the best care at a reasonable price. All the staff do a great job with Cali, who is a rescue and very scared of the vet. Dr. Bell is very knowledgeable and great at communicating everything in a way that I can understand and best care for Cali. Would recommend to everyone.

Worked with Dr. Belk. Super knowledgeable and did not suggest extra tests to "rule out" things. Will definitely be making them my primary vet.

We have been taking all of our animals to NDVC for nearly 20 years - and this includes many fostered, rescue and hospice dogs. They give stellar service and advice every time - and in between visits, too - and at reasonable prices. We really appreciate our long-term relationships with them and we highly recommend them!

We've been coming here so long we are usually visited by multiple docs and well taken care of :) Just remember to be patient with them. They have COVID-19 protocols to keep everyone safe: clients and docs. If your visit takes a little bit longer, its because more people are ahead of you. They take care a LOT of pets!

I've recommended North Dekalb Veterinary to people I know. Everyone there is very pleasant and professional, and I feel like they really listen to me and care about my cats, which is the most important thing to me. Dr. Lloyd loves cats and is wonderful with them. The other doctors are great, too, but I like to see Dr. Lloyd because he is a cat person.

North Dekalb Veterinary is phenomenal in every way! Dr. Sylvia Bell is absolutely wonderful. She has taken the time to get to know my dog Ernest and has proven that she truly cares. She has even called me after business hours to let me know test results, etc. I couldn’t ask for a better vet. I am impressed by the whole staff. I’ve taken my dog there since he was a puppy and he’s now 3 years old. They have treated him with love, care, and patience since day one. While he doesn’t love going, I rest knowing he is in good hands while he’s there. So very thankful!
