Elsa and Manuel Mendoza began their journey in Bogota, Colombia, where Manuel raised and trained the elegant Paso Fino horses in their famous classic fino "dances, " while Elsa ran a bakery serving delicacies to the neighborhood. As a renowned trainer Manuel was brought to the United States to train Pasos stateside, where they're imported for their grace and legendary smooth ride.

Life took a turn when the job fell through. With little prospects and two daughters Paola and Natalia, the Mendoza's did what any family does; they prayed to God and turned to Mamma. Elsa was already an established and gifted chef, baker and pastry maker. The family started to sell her pastries out of a van in the parking lot after church, and it quickly became a family affair.

This place feels like a small town cafe while serving customers in the style of Panera. Broad selection and I was surprised by the count of baked goods. Affordable and well worth the visit!

This is the best small town Cafe around. The staff is super attentive and the food and pastries are off-the-hook. The Baklava is great just wish the serving was larger.

Long wait- friendly service. We ordered: salted caramel macaroon (delicious), two caramel frappuccinos (just okay- the picture advertised in store looked much better), they were out of crepes when we visited so we had the waffle ‘la patisserie’ (delicious), and a kale, baby spinach, beet, and avocado salad (good but not amazing- not filling).
My only complaint is that the only table available for us to sit was dirty.

Love this place. Great for breakfast and lunch. The omelets are amazing as well as the French toast. Lunch offers great sandwiches, salads and soup. My only “wish” is that they bring back the half and half option for lunch. REALLY missing that!

Not only was the food delicious but their service was very friendly and timely matter even with them being short staffed (we wouldn't have even known as things went so smoothly but they told us this). Everyone at my table enjoyed the food and we will be back.

I stumbled across this cafe after a quick run to the post office, and boy it did not disappoint!!! So many options! My food was yummy and fresh! I also really enjoyed the blackberry mimosa, recommended to me by Payton. She was extremely friendly and helpful since this was my first visit. I can’t wait to come back.

Pros: the presentation of food was well done
Pros: food tasted good; I'm s Southern girl so hard for me to say great. This is not Southern food by any means

Prod: the service was nice. Place is always clean.

Cons: it's not Southern food and it's in the South. So a little more diverse menu to accommodate "us" Southerners will be great.

Cons: overpriced for the portion size. This is not NY.

Cons: shouldn't a bakery smell like a bakery so you are immersed in the smell of the baked goods. I don't get that smell when I walk in so I'm always apprehensive

Great coffee and the REAL French pastries like I remember living in France. These women have managed to keep their business up and running in spite of Covid. The place is always busy. I will take guests here for a treat.

Delicious sandwiches. Their food is very good. The atmosphere is a bit subpar, though. I feel like there is so much more they could have done with the ambience. Decor/lighting/paint/etc. Overall, it is consistent and their pastries are yummy, as well!

Delicious! You will not be disappointed with any selection. The Tres Leche Cake is my new found fav! If I wouldn't gain 50 lbs I could eat it every day! I also ordered the Chicken Caesar Wrap in a crepe which was a nice new twist and gluten free. Upon walking in you are greated by display cases of pastries and desserts which you will want one of everything. They offered curbside service as well for those still not able to go in to pick up meals. Will definitely try again!

Food is good, never been disappointed but as far as patisserie, not so much. Baked items are extremely below average for a patisserie.

This small cafe is tucked in a shopping center just beyond downtown Mooresville. Parking is plentiful and the inside is more spacious than you'd think. There are lunch items and plenty of desserts in the bakery case.

On my visit I got 3 items. For myself I got the baklava, and it was really good. The nuts were chopped finely and it wasn't overly sweet or sticky (I know because I took a bite in the car!)

I got a macaroon for my daughter, which was flavored as Almond Wedding Cake. It was both beautiful and delicious. My son got the creme brulee', which he loved.

I know food, and this place has EXCELLENT food. They had me at Feta Cheese . . . but the Dijon-peach jam with Brie is AMAZING (California turkey avocado sandwich)! The atmosphere takes you to a place outside of the day-to-day . . . from the music to the decor, you'll be hit with the ambiance. Wait until you taste the food! Patisserie Cafe will keep you coming back for more!

There's few times you go to a cafe and they have upscale food. I LOVED it here. The food was made with love and you can taste that in every bite. The house potatoes were to die for! My husband ordered a crepe and when it got to the table we realized it had walnuts which he is allergic to and right away the lady came over and got him something new and very quickly. They were so apologetic and honestly not there fault. We didn't see that it had that in it. They were even interacting with our daughter and made her laugh and made the experience an overall nice one. Can't wait to come

French toast was unbelievably delish. Also got the Early Riser breakfast sandwich to try because it all sounded so good. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. For a place tucked into a strip mall, it certainly packs a punch and holds its weight against other cafes! A must visit and taste!

My son offered to meet me here for a breakfast (him) and lunch (me) and we both got exactly the meal we wanted even though it was sort of late for one and early for the other.

French toast on his plate was so good, I helped myself to a rather large bite (or two) and other than avoiding carbs, I would order it for myself! SO delicious and the fresh whipped cream and ruby red strawberries...YES!

I went with a savory crepe and the chicken was moist and delicious, the spinach very lightly sauteed and the fresh greens lightly dressed with a gentle vinaigrette. I like a vinegar that almost bites

Patisserie Cafe has two locations, one in Old Mooresville in a little strip mall with nearly everything closed on that strip and one on Brawley School Rd/Williamson Rd by the bustling Publix and Orangetheory Fitness.

The vibe is different, although the menus are the same. The Brawley School one is what you'd expect near The Point, friendly but detached service, fairly well laid out. The one in Old Mooresville is smaller and tighter and older and the service is warm and welcoming. I LOVE the Old Mooresville one!!!

Our first (of numerous) visits the server asked our names "in case

Great place for a nice brunch. I got the chorizo omelette and my wife had the Nutella crepes. Food is fresh and delicious. Service staff was pleasant and helpful. The owner was onsite and took the time to speak with us one on one about our visit. This location closes at 4:00 PM on most days but the Brawley School location stays open until 8:00 PM on most days.

Very quaint bakery that offers a wide array of breakfast and lunch items. You can get just about any type of food from here, such as soups and salads, to paninis and omelettes. There's something for everyone on their menu, and they even have vegan options.

I've come here a few times now, and I can tell that they take pride in serving food with fresh ingredients and healthy portion sizes. Their prices are moderate, with the average food item ranging anywhere from $8.00-$10.00.

If you're looking for baked goods, they have fresh cakes and cookies, as well as croissants and fresh

Not as busy as the Brawley School Rd Store but still very good.

Have previously visited the Brawley School Road Site and was impressed with the quality of a rather simple meal very well prepared.

First thing to keep in mind on either of these locations is don't go with the menu found within this listing. The real menu is probably 2 to 3 times what is listed here.

For example, I've not had BLT's at both locations and no where does it appear in the online menu. There keep in mind that if you don't see it on the on line menu does not mean it's not there.

The east side location is more cafe-er than the Brawley School shop: there's tidy little cluster of tables as you come in. Plenty of elbow-roominess and so no worries about accidentally whacking the people at the next table. Order and pay at the register between the cases of baked and chilled goods, get cozied-up at a table sip coffee and share a tidbit with friends (outdoor seating is available weather permitting.)
Usually stop in between 10:30 and 11:00 on Saturday; sometimes the place is way busy sometimes less so but I've never seen it empty. Sandwiches and snacks are available until

Second time going today and let me just say both times exceeded my expectations! Wonderful clean and friend environment, Great service by the staff and we got to meet the owner, Manuel who was a delight to meet.

Food was spectacular, and having a gluten free crepe wrap meant I could enjoy any sandwich off the menu with no issue.

Very likely to return and highly recommend everyone try it out.
