As a UCLA and Northwestern trained psychiatrist, I have worked in a wide variety of treatment settings since 2002, including hospital-based inpatient units, eating disorder residential treatment centers and partial hospitalization programs, community mental health centers, hospital-based outpatient clinics, general pediatrics consult-liaison programs, and 8 previous years in boutique private practice in the Westwood/Beverly Hills area of Los Angeles.

Please contact me to discuss my fee schedule. Payment is due at the time of service, and upon request, a superbill may be provided to you that you may submit to your insurance company on your own behalf. They will reimburse you according to their out-of-network reimbursement policies, which vary widely depending on the company.

Dr. Carlson has been such an asset for our 5-year-old son. She is knowledgeable, experienced, and thorough; she has great bedside manner and responds thoughtfully to all our questions. I assume she is equally effective with her adult patients. Dr. Carlson is well-respected as the local expert in her field. We knew she had a great reputation and are thrilled to see it first-hand.

Teri has been a savior. I am so thankful to have happened to be connected with her several years ago. She knows how to connect with kids of all ages. She so easily builds a relationship with the patient whether it be a middle-schooler, teenage daughter, or college-aged son. My kids adore her. I wish she was also a therapist because my kids trust her so much are are so willing to open up to her. She explains things in a way that makes what’s happening in the brain easier to understand. I would give her 10 stars if I could. She is truly the best!
