Run by hypocrites.
"Diversity, equity, and inclusion is important to us and a priority in our leadership," said Chris Carter at a November Livermore City Council meeting. He is executive director of the Livermore Valley Performing Arts Center (LVPAC) and his words surprised me. Any good done by LVPAC is overshadowed by its board members' harmful lawsuits.
The LVPAC Board of Directors includes Joan Seppala and Jean King, who helped fund campaigns against affordable housing in Livermore and a nearby solar farm. Housing justice and environmental justice both effect people of color

Nice little theater. Came here for the Nutcracker and overall it was a satisfying experience.
Most of the seats give you a decent view, so you never really feel like you're missing out. The seats aren't the largest, but nothing is ever perfect right?
Still, if you're watching a show, the theater is mostly good overall.

Beautiful theatre, friendly staff and an amazing performance by the Pacific Chamber Orchestra.
It was my first symphony experience and one that did not disappoint. I will definitely be back for another show by PCO as they do have a few upcoming programs scheduled. It was a fulfilling way to spend my Sunday afternoon with such beautiful music by Brahms.

I've lived near here and never know this part of town existed. What a nice neighborhood. Lots of restaurants and a green area. There is also a large parking garage across the street. We came to see Kinky Boots. It was actually a movie of the live show. I had difficulty getting tickets. It said everything was booked or it was ADA access. I got the only tickets left. As it turns out they were less then 50% filled. We did talked to the usher and changed seats as we were way too close and on the side. The ushers were very helpful and concessions were allowed in the theater. I recommend this theater

I bought a ticket in April for a show scheduled in September. Because pandemic continued i called box office for refund.
Box office staff spoke to me twice, including the week of the event - - which County forbid because social distancing could not have occurred.
Box office delayed a callback. I later was offered by mass message (a) donate my $ cost of ticket, (b) get credit for upcoming show or (c) refund.
I'm new to C C County and surprised at poor customer service/ transparency.

The Bankhead Theatre is a great venue to see almost any kind of production.. parking is across the street with a light controlled pedestrian walk. Their is small bar inside if you wish a snack or drink. Wine, beer and wine mixed drinks are available. You can take them to our seat with a provided cover. We saw Mama Mis there yesterday and it was so great we could see it again. Seats can be expensive @$55 -110. The cost is worth it.

Bankhead is a nice theater. It's a great location across the street from a large free parking lot, and it's located on the edge of downtown with easy access to restaurants & cafes. The seats are a little cramped, but they are tiered so, even if you're sitting behind a tall person, your view won't be blocked.
The snack bar was a little rinky dink, and they got the prices totally wrong, but they had really yummy lemon bars if you have a sweet tooth. Also, there is a large main restroom on the first floor, and two convenient single restrooms upstairs.
Overall, I was pleased

Had a lovely evening last Friday seeing John Waite. This was our first time at the theatre. We were in one of the last rows and could see perfectly! So glad we were up there than we didn't have people standing in front ruining the view ( there were people doing that) . They had wine and beer, water , sodas. So glad I got my wine early when we first arrived. The line at intermission was ridiculous.
Really to bad they don't have multiple bars set up to help with this issue. All and all a lovely evening. It was a little warm in the theatre as well. It can get warm Livermore so hope they

Really wonderful venue! It's not super from from our home and we recently had a romantic date night starting with dinner at Chianti Reserve in downtown Pleasanton, then drinks across the street from Bankhead, then a wonderful Cirque Saloon show. We had wonderful, comfortable seats, and an opportunity to buy reasonably priced drinks and snacks before the show too from their friendly staff.

This is a beautiful performance venue in downtown Livermore. We recently saw a theatrical version of Disney's "Little Mermaid", and apart from the wonderful job the theater group did, the Bankhead Theater proved to be a nice venue - everything new and fresh. All seats have good views, and Stadium seating throughout eliminates the problem of peering around someone's head all performance.
The theater is all one level, but for those sitting in the back it's easier to go to the second floor and enter the theater from there (an elevator is available). A large, open lobby is

What a great evening last night ( August 3)! Hospitality in the theater from picking up tickets at will call to the huge welcomes at the door! Then we were escorted to our seats and spectacular seats too. I don't think there's a bad seat in the theater. We've enjoyed several bands, plays etc at Bankhead and we will continue to enjoy more. Last night a local band played. Absolute wonderful acoustics in the theater but Luna Fish is a amazing band. Last night they rocked the place for us all to enjoy! We hope there are more local bands playing in the future. Oh price was fair and the

I have been to this theater countless times, both performing as well as from the audience. It is a very comfortable venue, with free, easy parking and every seat is a good seat.
Most recently, I came here to attend the performance of the Pacific Chamber Orchestra, directed by Laurence Kohl along with a local choral group, conducted by Rob Lappa. The performance was called Majestic Masterpieces.
I thought the prices were very reasonable, but you can even get a discount sometime if you have a connection to the orchestra or choral group. In this case you could actually get a 50% discount!

Came to Bankhead Theater for the first time to see HOT SARDINES
Loved the setup of the whole area - there's a FREE PARKING GARAGE right across the street, there was also a CREAM on the corner & who wouldn't want to pair their Sardines w/ some ice cream? :-)
The venue is very intimate & the sound was great. Can't really speak to the sightlines since there was no one sitting in the 2 rows directly in front of us - so obviously we had perfect views. The seats were a tad uncomfortable but the sets were only like 1 hour so nothing we couldn't handle

The missus and I went to the Bankhead for the first time this afternoon. On the way out, we both looked at each other and said "What took us so long?" Because this was one of the most enjoyable experiences we've had, and we didn't have to drive more than 10 minutes to get there.
The show we saw was Gilbert & Sullivan's 'Pirates of Penzance' --- and it was a barrel of laughs with spectacular music and lyrics and excellent performances. But this review is about the theatre, which is a lovely hassle-free experience all in itself, no matter what show you&apos

A very quaint theater tucked away in the heart of Livermore. My wife and I went there with our son and were greatly entertained by duo Jean Sacucier & Patrick Côté of Circo Comedia.
We laughed a lot and so did our son.
Has a little snack bar that does serve Adult beverages as well as plenty for the kiddies. Definitely enjoyed the show and the theater accommodations.
