Step 2 This Dance and Performing Arts Studio was founded in Oakley, CA in 2002. Our goal is to provide a positive learning experience for every family who steps through our doors. Dance can create a sense of achievement, pride and accomplishment, and at Step 2 This, we make it a wonderful life experience for both children and adults! Their audition-based Competition Teams are perfect for dancers wishing to take their skills to the next level.

Our Studio Report

Since then, we have become an award-winning performing arts studio with a dance program that enriches the lives of both recreational and competitive dancers. Our family-oriented, positive atmosphere helps to build self-esteem and the love of dance. We believe through dance, children can learn values necessary in becoming happy, healthy adults.

Competition Team Report

Our Competition Team consists of dancers ages 4 & up. The Competition Team is an accelerated program where dancers compete in Regional Competitions and perform at local events and even Disneyland. Our Team has won numerous awards including national titles over the years. Our Dancers train year round learning choreography and performing.

Recital Info Report

Our Winter showcase is a smaller scale performance. This is more of an open house where the dancers will be showcasing what they have learned in their classes so far. Our June recital is a much grander event. The students of Step 2 This Dance end their dance season by performing a routine at a theatre on stage.

We LOVE Miss Katie!! Its so sad they are going to have to cancel my daughters class because she is the only one signed up. Moms!! kids 4 to 5, Friday class! 4-4:45 if you are available. My daughter loves to dance and make new friends. It would be wonderful to keep that class going 💖💖💖

I was a part of this studio since I was 3 years old; whether it was as a dancer or as someone who simply watched and supported them. That being said I want to share my years of experience and observations. If you’re between the ages of 2-9, I would recommend this studio to help learn the beginning techniques of dance, but after that I would suggest leaving because you’re not going to learn anything more than the basics. We have been going for a few weeks now and my 4 year old loves it!! Her instructor is sweet and kind but also is teaching a ton of new stuff to the kids and I am really impressed by the quality of the classes.

This is a phenomenal dance studio, I was looking for a dance studio that would take my two year old and this was it. Thanks to a referral from pal Christina, we found a dance home for our baby girl. The staff is patient and dedicated to the children. Simply awesome!
