Dave began repairing power equipment in the basement of their Southbury home but outgrew that space and moved to their current location on Main Street South with room for a showroom and shop repair space. Our mechanics attend manufacturers update schools to keep up with the ever changing power equipment industry. We love helping you make your yard more beautiful with the equipment that we sell and service!

We have over 40 years of combined experience fixing all types of outdoor power equipment and our mechanics regularly attend manufacturer service schools to keep up to date on the newest advances in repairing small engines.
Chainsaws Unlimited Inc. offers a diverse range of lawn mowers suitable for the homeowner with a small patch of lawn all the way up to commercial grade for the lawn professional. We won't sell you something too big or too small for the job that needs to be done. Our sales staff will ask questions such as, the size of your yard and terrain to help determine the best mower for the job.
We carry three brands of chainsaws that we think are the best suited for consumers in Southbury and the surrounding Tri-bury area they are : Husqvarna, Echo and Jonsered. There are many different uses for chainsaws from felling whole trees to pruning or cutting firewood. We have something that will fit your needs.

I've tried this place three or four times now over the last few years, and every single time I have been disappointed. My working theory is that they continue to exist as a business by serving their buddies and generational clientele, who they will stand around and shoot the breeze with, leaving other customers unserved for 10 minutes or more.
They may very well be good at chainsaw service, but they've yet to resolve any issues I've presented them for my Ariens tractor... A brand I believe they are a dealer for.
Sadly, it's business practices like these that drive people to big box stores instead

The people here know a lot about power equipment and tractors. Ask for Dave as he is especially knowledgeable. I called him one time with a disassembly question about an older generator and he was able to give me concise information off the top of his head, with great success resulting on my end. His advice also led to my father fixing his 1972 John Deere tractor a few years back.

I have a 1967 Ariens snowblower which was handed down from a family member, I wanted to rebuild it and have the confidence of a good working machine, Chainsaws Unlimited took charge and went completely through it and with their expertise they got it running like new, starts on the 1st pull, there prices are very fair and the project was completed faster than I expected, I highly recommend them for any small engine repair, or if you prefer new they have a great selection of quality brands, snow blowers, chainsaws and many other implements.

I walked in with a chainsaw that would not start. The guy there took a look and tried to start it. After a couple of tries of not starting he said it was flooded. He then took it to the back cleared it out and fired it up.
He then showed me what I could do the next time and how I should handle starting it in the future, No charge.
With service like this I will always come back.

Had a snow blower leaking on me. Called in the morning was told to bring it in that afternoon wouldn't be a problem. Got home from work loaded it up drove out there. When I got there I swear I heard the banjo, this place looks straight out of a movie. Went inside was told they wouldn't fix it till labor day... It's April. They wasted two hours of my life, probably for the best I doubt a place run so poorly would fix it properly.
