Jeanmarie graduated cum laude from Elizabethtown College with a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy. She started her career at a local York area hospital as an inpatient Occupational Therapist servicing trauma, stroke and orthopedic patients.
When she became supervisor of the inpatient and outpatient occupational therapy departments, she was asked by local plastic and orthopedic surgeons to participate in observing hand/upper extremity surgeries.She learned a wealth of knowledge about the anatomy and rehabilitation of the hand from this experience.

Oh man don’t know where to start , OSS referred me here due to work related injury. The staff were and are always so sweet , personable very friendly and really make you feel welcomed. Always greeted with warm smiles and highest level of care. I think the only time had to wait was on my initial visit, registering, every appointment I had the wait… time was as long as it took me to open the door to enter the office lol.My PT Melissa is AWESOME, really took an interest in me as a patient and a person , really phenomenal on helping my hand get back to where it needs to be... If you have shoulder issues this is the place you want to go. I had to have a reverse shoulder replacement and at only 45 years old I needed someone who knew about thus surgery and what you can and can not do. Joe is fantastic and really knows what he is doing. All of the staff are very kind, compassionate and work well together. I felt like part… of the family, they work with you and are concerned for your well being. I have been to many PT's over the 10 years of shoulder issues, Joe and the staff at Occupational Hand Therapy Specialists is by far the best I have dealt with.

I have been a manicurist for 20 years, and a salon owner for 15. Needing surgery for my hand was scary enough, not to mention who would I trust for my recovery and PT. Without the use of my hand, I could potentially be unable to work in my field. From my first phone call into the office, to the day I could put my hand print on the "Wall of Graduates". I was treated with respect and kindness. My recovery and success was of the utmost importance to each of the staff members.Conversations were easy and comfortable, and most of all... I had a great experience jn my time here! Everybody was so friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is fantastic! My Physical Therapist, Melissa, really helped me manage my symptoms and find new ways to adjust to… my job without overworking my hands. I will definitely be returning to take advantage of their Wellness Program. I highly recommend Occupational & Hand Therapy!

I am beyond blessed that I got to spend my Recovery time at OHTS with JeanMarie, Joe, Stacy, and Cody! They made coming to physical therapy a fun and enjoyable time! Their office has such a warm and friendly feel to it! I will honestly miss seeing everyone early on Monday and Thursday mornings! My experience was amazing, not to mention my wrist was completely healed in the process too! ;) I wouldn't just recommend, but rather completely advocate a friend with any upper extremity issues to pay a visit to the team at OHTS! I will miss you guys!!
