Found this hotel extremely clean. I'm a retired Public Health RN and am very hesitant to stay away from home in hotels for fear of bed bugs and germs. Took a chance booking with this hotel to go on an entire family trip. Arrived to find staff very pleasant and helpful. Room was free of musky odors and mattress appeared to be new and well kept. Bed had mattress covers as well as sheets and a light weight blanket. Thank goodness there was no comforter/bed spread on bed which is a great plus from a hygiene stand point. Room had small microwave and refrigerator in it. As already said this Room was

Pet friendly, plenty of clean up stations and trash cans, so those with K9 companions please be considerate of others. Reasonable prices, clean room with comy bed and pillows. Nice amenities, within an easy walk to shops, eateries and walking areas beside the Oconaluftee River. Great hospitality and awesome location. Would book again when in the area.

The pool has a child area and also a beautiful waterfall.
It's a wonderful place for family's and couples I'll definitely be there next visit.

Very disappointed due to the overwhelming musty odor. Checking in was fine. The room was clean and organized. Location is great. If they could address the musty smell, it would be a great place to stay. Consider Baking Soda on the carpet and let it soak for a day and then vacuum.
UPDATE: Housekeeper informed me that these carpets were cleaned recently. It appears they left the carpets wet and closed the door allowing the musty odor. She was gracious enough to provide me with a box of Arm and Hammer baking soda, carpet odor eliminator. Used the entire box throughout the room and it provided a tolerable
