If you see spots of red oil (or "gold" color oil at lots of late models European transmission) on the ground under your car, your transmission may need to be re-sealed. To check a transmission for leaks, a technician will put the vehicle on a lift and examine the unit for signs of oil leaks.

Also known as "rebuilding a transmission", a complete overhaul involves the removal and disassembly of the transmission in its entirety. Every part is inspected for wear and damage, then cleaned in a special cleaning solution, or replaced with another part depending on its condition. Parts that have friction surfaces, such as bands and clutches are replaced as are all seals and gaskets.

They asked to me to pay upfront with out knowing what the problem was. They lie on their invoices and will not fix the problem. Read the complaints on the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU website!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wished I had done so.
My truck sits in the drive way not fixed the part they claimed they could get has been discontinued, so they lied and said its fixed, and guess what guys after going to a different mechanic

I was in Florida for family emergency and my transmission went. I was over 1100 miles from home with my 3 kids and mother. I found Uncle D when I Google shops near me. Jesse sent out a tow truck for me to get my car to shop. Once we arrived at the shop he took me to get a rental car so I could get back to my kids on the west coast. He kept in contact with me daily about my progress on my car. Within 5 days my car was done and I was ready to drive home. I'm so glad I contacted him and he was able to get my car fixed. Uncle D’s showed the utmost professionalism during every interaction. They gave me a detailed understanding of the scope of the work, the price, and the possible additional costs. While i wasn’t happy they wanted payment in advance, I respected the request as it was a big job. They worked through the holiday weekend so I had my car in time for work on Tuesday. Jessie and the team are amazing!!

Everything went well. The service and the people that assisted me were very courteous and helpful. Definitely honest and trustworthy. I took my car in for a shaky steering wheel and turned out it was just the tire. I feel like anybody else could’ve definitely have me spend money on some funky repair.

My $3,500 Head Gasket job lasted a week. Car Ran great for first 2 days, brought back to fix transmission oil leak & loose bolt after 2 days. Ran great again for 3 days but car overheated on way home from work on 5th day. I Called Uncle D's & they told me not to drive car Until I bring it in so I made appoitment. Drove car into shop 4 miles for my appt. on 9th day - had to work on days 6-7 & they were closed on day 8 - Sat. ( I topped off Radiator & Resevoir w qt. of anti-freeze b4 I left, car started quick & idled ok & then ran fine to shop )

The experience with this auto shop was a total nightmare. The owner, Doron, is dishonest and rude. I brought my car into the shop and told the owner that I wanted them to make sure my car was fixed. I told him I thought I had a problem with the transmission and a few lights on my dashboard were lit up, but I was not exactly sure why they were lit up. Doron told me after the diagnostic that he would need to replace the transmission. He gave me a quote of about $1500 and convinced me it would be better than trading in my car because my car would last for another few years. After deciding to leave

Worst, please call me 3473195434 I'm putting a team together to send uncle D to court. Please everyone uncle D transmission & Repair stole money from us costumers repair not done or complete. I had to towed my from uncle d, to another repair transmission shop. Please spread the words to other friends do not, and again send your car there. The owner charged me for diagnosis. The bill was $60. He wrote on the estimate. Customer came in because she heard a loud noise coming from her car. "We checked it and it is running okay" A week I went to another shop and they heard the same noise and immediately said the muffler is bad. They replaced my muffler. compa

Just a bad experience overall after having my car at Uncle D's for over 3 weeks. They constantly gave me the run around about things and when they finally, after two weeks got me my car back, told me something could be wrong with it still. "Drive it for a few days to see if it's just the car needing to acclimate itself to the new rebuild" So, I take it back to Uncle D's and was told the issue would be resolved within an hour which I knew was completely unrealistic. Nope not an hour but another week+ before I got the car back. The problem still persists but it's not

Worst place. Anyone giving more than 1 star had to be paid. D rips you off, lies and do not do an honest job. During Irma brought my van in. It went from $1200, to $1600 to when i picked it up$2100, he didn't fix what he claimed was wrong. He supposedly fixed something else. Update: had to take the van for check had to took it elsewhere just to find out Uncle D left bolts off. Talk about bad job and safety issues. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU VALUE YOUR MONEY AND VEHICLE!!!

This place is the worst shop I have ever seen!! How do they stay in business is probably the biggest question! Brought a car in here to get check out for a friend because it broke down close to here. They said the transmission is bad and needs to get inspected. Charged $675 to inspect after they said it would be $150. Then told her it would be another $2000 to fix it!!! When we tried to take the car without repairs they said we owed for storage. Going through the courts now to deal with this. Stay away from this place!!

I called about my transmission and they told me it would definitely be between $600 to $1000, especially since my vehicle was drivable. I got there and he charged my debit card $600, took my transmission completely apart and called me next day to tell me $2400! I told him I would take it to AAMCO who had quoted me $1800 and he told me he would give me my transmission back in pieces in a box and the $600 was NON-REFUNDABLE to read the contract I signed! When I asked to speak to the owenr, the front man, Eric said the owner, DORON

If no stars was an option I would select that. This guy is a scam artist, and will fix something while sabotaging something else. I paid him alot of money to fix my car and with in a few weeks I'm having major problems.... Anyways I found out the hard way that this guy is not trust worthy.. problems that I've never had before are appearing after I get my car back and conveniently they are new issues so they don't fall under the warranty he provides. His warranty is no good because you can't trust them.

I called this repair shop told him I was having noise coming from my rear axle, he tells me drop the vehicle off put the keys in the box I'll check it out. I can feel the hairs standing up on my neck warning me of trouble. The best decision I think I've ever made. I drove by their he sells junk cars I walk up he greets nice guy.
