From the experienced diver to the beginner we can accomodate. Our goal is to share the underwater world with everyone and show what Hawaii has to offer. Our professional Instructors break it down easily for you to understand, and if you don't, they will help you until you do. We speak English, Russian and American Sign Language.

Services
If you are just thinking about giving diving a try then this is where to start. Take this adventure for your first experience where we take you on a dive to a maximum of 40 feet. Getting your PADI Open Water Diver certification is the first step into exploring the world down below. The PADI certification is recognized Internationally and you will be certified to dive down to 60 feet.
If you are not an Emergency First Responder we can do the EFR Course in conjunction with Rescue Diver for an additional $275. This course covers the basics of Primary and Secondary Care along with Child Care. This is a great skill to have and a plus side, many companies give you a raise if you are an Emergency First Responder.

Made our Trip!
When I made the reservation at the Ala Moana Hotel for my family, I had no idea there was a scuba shop inside. But I am very happy that there was because I and my husband love scuba diving, and this store being there made our vacation so much better. What I like most about this store is the care they gave us in making sure our gear was correctly put together. Not to mention they had really nice scuba equipment, and our dives at Turtle Canyon were Euphoric. We'll be back next year!

My teenage daughter wanted to get certified for PADI during the COVID-19 season where there were challenges. Jamie was fabulous and went above and beyond in making it happen. She had the "best days of her life" in the water with Jamie and saw small sharks, sea turtles, starfish, schools of fish and even held a sea cucumber in her hands. She said she felt very safe with him. Jamie had her practice skills over and over until she knew it well. My daughter found him so fun to be with and said he can even laugh under water. ODA is the place to go. I’ve taken several courses and gone on a number of dives with Jamie, all of which have added up to an awesome experience. I couldn’t be more satisfied with the patience and expertise of the instructor, which allowed me to significantly improve my diving skills while exploring new areas of Hawaii. I highly recommend diving with ODA.

Jamie was such an amazing instructor. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and really knew what he was doing. He took us to some amazing dive sites. We saw tons of loggerhead turtles, sharks, eels and so many beautiful fish. I would recommend this place to everyone. Will definitely dive with him before our trip here is over. 👌🏼🤙🏼

Short Answer: I had an amazing experience; and knowing what I know now, I would not go anywhere else!
Long Answer: ODA SCUBA was a great experience in every category I can think of (locations, gear, expertise and knowledge, sights, and good company). I went out on several dives with Jamie, and had a blast every time. Jamie is a character with a sense of humor, and something I really admired was how dedicated and serious he took diving. Jamie fostered this great combination of having a lot of laughs on land (which was good at getting nervous divers to relax) and being focused on safety underwater

I got certified here on vacation. Jaime is a great instructor. He is very helpful and supportive to get you through the process. At the same time he does not baby his students and makes sure you graduate skilled.
Finishing the course and getting that underwater handshake from him was an awesome moment.
