At Ilyse Simon RDN CDN Nutrition Therapy LLC, we are here to help and support you take the proper steps towards a healthy life. We have professional and knowledgeable staff having resources to help you be successful in your recovery. Whether your issue involves dieting, an eating disorder, food allergies, gluten intolerance, blood sugar problems, or another need for dietary change, it involves more than food.

It is hard to change our patterns, to make time for lunch on a busy day, to force ourselves to eat foods that seem terrifying, to sit with feelings, or to stop hiding behind 'fat'. Though food can heal, transform, repair, and give you energy for your life, the journey is what makes change.
Services
Ilyse is a registered dietitian/nutritionist in private practice since 1998. She works with people who have eating disorders, body image issues, food allergies, vegan and vegetarian diets, and insulin resistance. Often these categories overlap. The restriction of foods due to weight issues, allergies, or other reasons can lead towards eating disordered behaviors.
Ilyse Simon RDN CDN and her team of dietitians provide nutritional counseling in a private practice setting. Clients range in age, male and female, tweens to adults. Though the symptoms are manipulation of food and weight, eating disorders are not about food. When food and emotions are woven together, Ilyse supports her clients to untangle these two separate entities and learn to feed themselves healthier and more supportive ways.
Ilyse Simon RD CDN is a freelance writer. Her articles have appeared in VegNews, The Woodstock Times, Chronogram magazine, and Today's Dietitian. It offers treatment referrals, a media advocacy program, and links to other eating disorders associations. The Eating Disorder Referral and Information Center gives referrals to eating disorder specialists, treatment facilities and support groups.

Ilyse worked with a team in a collaborative way and was incredibly supportive and available to all members of the family impacted by our daughter’s illness. She is very psychologically

Her personality and professionalism were appropriate and pleasant. However, she was referred to and treating an adolescent with eating disorder in both directions-overeating, restricting, and other behaviors. Unfortunately her advice was "eat what you feel." She felt restrictions and rules and minimum guidelines weren't healthy. When you have someone with a compulsive eating disorder or an anorexic, that is completely the wrong advice. We never returned. I believe she may be better suited for people looking to understand nutrition rather than anyone with issues around eating. However, we never
