If you reach out to them and the Playwrights with a valuable film that will be an excellent resource to their clients, prepare to be shot down and humiliated. You will be treated with complete disrespect when there's a buck to be made during their fundraiser.

Southern caregiver resource center has been the best find for us these few years. Because of them I am not going crazy caring for Mom. They have given me time to get away and just sing out loud in my car. And I don’t care who hears! 🤗

I called this company because I have an extreme need for help. I was told that I more than qualified, with an appointment for the following day. I had been calling already for a couple of weeks. I then get a phone call, saying no sorry, mistake, maybe someone will call you back in a week...or 2? To set up a meeting. I am looking for help with a terrible situation. I need assistance for caregiving. I cant be calling and setting up appointments and having cancellations...no return on my phone calls. I already am stressed out......what are you guys doing really??? Trying to add to the stress

Helpful if you are a caregiver in any capacity. Rebecca really understands the ecosystem and asked really great questions to guide me.

I went to SCRC about ten years ago seeking support, guidance, and a safe place to voice my concerns and frustrations as a caregiver to my mother with Alzheimer's disease. At that time the "caregiver support meetings" were held once a week and I needed every minute I could get*!* I have recommended SCRC to MANY people over the years because I feel they helped save my sanity, and so much more. But a couple of weeks ago an edict came down from somewhere (?) that those who had lost their loved ones they were caring for (to death) were no longer welcome at the meetings. Some of those

Southern Caregivers Resource Center is a God send to all caregivers of someone with a disabling condition and/or disease.
They offer professional counsel; education; and, in some cases respite scholorship to the caregiver in need of a break.
I've participated in caregiving for two relatives with Alzheimer's -- this organization offered counsel; options; and, excellent services quickly and efficiently.
Consider sacraficing the price of a daily cup of coffee; and, support someone in need of more than a coffee break!

A number of years ago both my parents needed caregivers. We were are stressed to the max. A friend recommended Southern Caregiver and frankly my first reaction was, "I don't need one more thing to do." I was thinking it might be some sort of support group. She assured me it was an information resource, and she had been extremely pleased with the service. We were too. My husband, brother, and I made an appointment. Facts were gathered and we were provided information to help with the decisions we were making. We were especially appreciative of the recommendation of an elder attorney who helped us

I take care of my husband 86 yrs old with severe dementia. He was sick and I took care of him with a respiratory infection and caught it myself. I was so weak, trying to take care of him, not being able to sleep, I got so tired I felt like I could die. They said as the organization to pay my regular caregiver and they would pay for 5 days, so I hired her and went and stayed in a hotel for 2 days to rest. The center then told me they could not pay a regular private caregiver. So I am stuck with the bill for the caregiver 24 hours for 2 days and and the hotel. Guess there is no help for caregivers

This place is really amazing. I wish I had found it sooner, but I'm grateful that I found them at all. This is a private, non-profit community resource center for people who are caregivers of adults with chronic and disabling conditions or diseases. They have excellent social workers and counselors to help you with all your needs through every step of the way, and are well connected with other relevant resources available throughout the community. They are caring, dedicated professionals who give their time to support you and help you with all your caregiving needs. I highly recommend
