When you visit Hawaii, you want to experience the ocean. The best way is to take a SCUBA diving or snorkeling tour. When you dive beneath the waves, you'll fee the pulse of the islands, view reefs teeming with fish and have the experience of a lifetime. In Kona, you never know what you're going to see: dolphins, mantas, hammerheads, tiger sharks, whale sharks?
Yes, we've seen all those things! At Pacific Rim Divers, we believe the key to a great Kona diving experience is a knowledgeable guide, a small group and a relaxed atmosphere. We limit our groups to six divers or less. And we'll never rush you. Small groups allow us to give our full attention to our divers' needs and safety.

Services
Pacific Rim Divers was born out of Patrice and Frank's dream to own a boat and take people diving. And some 25 years later they're still doing exactly that. They are joined by a small, ocean-loving and hard-working team: Jim, Allison and Alexia. Every day we want nothing more than to have fun and share our love of the ocean and its critters with you.
Base prices for Discover Scuba Diving and Open Water Certification courses include all equipment (BCD, regulator, wetsuit, mask, snorkel, fins). All other class prices do not include any equipment. We will do our very best to make sure you have a great dive but encounters with any specific animals cannot be assured.
Our 2 tank boat dive departs daily from Honokohau Marina and small boat Harbor just 2 miles north of Kailua-Kona. Directions to the meeting site are located below. Meeting times for night charters vary based on sunset and whether you're doing a 1-tank or 2-tank. If we haven't notified you of your meeting time, please give us a call.
Our customers count on us for the service and special attention that comes from small group diving. And it shows in their reviews. Patrice's famous brownies even get reviewed! I just wanted to thank you again for a wonderful couple of days of diving. I don't think Anders could have finished his open water certification with anyone better, and Jenny and I really enjoyed the tours!
Manta rays feed on tiny marine organisms called plankton. Many years ago, divers discovered that light attracts plankton. When they held an underwater torch in place, plankton gathered in its beam. If divers could congregate large amounts of plankton, they could encourage manta rays to stay and feed in one area.
