HANS was founded in 2017 by Dr. Elaf Farahat, a Registered Dietitian, Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC) with a PhD degree from Loma Linda University in Rehabilitation Science with emphasis on Nutrition Education. Elaf has more than ten years of experience in clinical nutrition, education and public speaking.

She has taught nutrition classes both domestically and internationally in various colleges and universities, she educates patients and their families daily on optimal nutrition for disease management. She has published research articles in peer reviewed journals and spoke at multiple conferences and workshops.
