The Performing Arts Center of MetroWest (PAC) is deeply committed to promoting and providing cultural education in our community. Through dance, music, and theater education, as well as offering plentiful performance opportunities, we are working hard to build and promote arts education in our local community.
Moving West was founded at the Performing Arts Center in 1988 by Lynne Johnson Grynkewicz to bring contemporary dance to the greater MetroWest area. A local company by choice, Moving West focuses on bringing quality dance performances to a hometown organization and its greater community while nurturing artists that reside in Framingham and greater MetroWest.
There are numerous social, emotional and educational benefits of learning to play an instrument or sing. Besides making you smarter, music is enjoyable and can make you happy! Studying music teaches children and adults alike to be creative, expressive, and discover feelings, emotions and mood. Learning an instrument builds self-confidence, improves memory, relieves stress and teaches problem solving and listening skills.
PAC offers individual lessons for students of all ages. Our faculty are highly trained in their respective fields and pride themselves on educating the whole person - helping students of all ages learn the skills, enjoyment, and magic of the performing arts. PAC offers two 17-week semesters of lessons during the school year and individually scheduled lessons during the summer.
Music is at the heart of what we do here at PAC, and we're thrilled to offer so many opportunities for musical enrichment. While individual lessons are ideal for some students, these group classes provide a unique opportunity for pursuing music education. The format of group lessons offers a wonderful opportunity for each student to perform as a part of their group which only adds to the fun and excitement.
