Services
North End Music & Performing Arts Center (NEMPAC) is your 501(c)(3) community music school and performing arts center. We exist to enrich Charlestown, the North End, and surrounding Boston neighborhoods with accessible, high-quality arts programming and performances. We believe the arts are an antidote to stress, a source of comfort and hope, and an innate connection builder.
All students enrolled in private music lessons are on rolling-registration for the entire academic year, excluding the summer session. Students interested in lessons per session must notify NEMPAC at least two weeks prior to the last lesson. For each private music instructor, we present an introductory mini-bio on our website, which provides a glimpse of their expertise to help you choose the best fit.
Within the NEMPAC Dance & Movement Program, kids ages 18 months and up have a place to let their creativity blossom. In our classes, kids learn creative movement, ballet, jazz, yoga musical theatre, and more! We strive to allow each dancer and mover to be the best version of themselves through movement and transformative artistic experiences!.
NEMPAC's Music Theatre Program, starting with Kids Music Theatre at age 4 and continuing through Music Theatre Troupe at age 13, provides students with a better understanding of how they can tell a story with their bodies, voices, and imaginations. Through games, improvisation, and rehearsals, students build their communication, public speaking, and collaboration skills.
Looking for a fun family and neighborhood activity this holiday season? Look no further! The NEMPAC Community Choir is back by popular demand.

This wonderful opportunity allows families of all ages and abilities to sing and learn together in fun Sunday rehearsals, and to perform at exciting caroling events such as the Rose Kennedy Greenway Conservancy's "Caroling at the Carousel" event, Boston Public Market Holiday Caroling, the Christopher Columbus Park Trellis Lighting, and Caroling in the North End Neighborhood Stroll!
