The Chino Grinder is considered Arizona's premier gravel bike event and for great reason. The event just celebrated its tenth year of gravel racing and almost 400 racers attended the 110 mile, 60 mile and 40 mile races. Named in tribute to the nickname, The Last Best Place, for the State of Montana, TLBR is a gravel race of 90 miles and over 8,000 feet of elevation gain.

At MMC, we are lovers of all things bike. Our lives have been changed and improved by riding bikes, by the challenges it presents and by the people we've met along the way. Just over the hill from Scottsdale, Fountain Hills is a great town and a great riding destination, and every great riding town needs an excellent bike shop.
At MMC, we know that leaving your bike at an unfamiliar shop can be like leaving your firstborn at day care for the first time. Your bike will never lean on another bike while at our shop. It goes from your hands to secure storage before being tuned and gently washed and then back into your hands, to be ridden like you stole it!
If you need advice about where to ride, you've come to the right place. MMC is the rider's shop and nobody puts more time in on our roads and trails than the MMC crew. We're happy to send you in the right direction, depending on what sort of riding you want to do. If you are visiting Phoenix, Scottsdale or anywhere in Valley of the Sun and are interested in renting a bike for the day or the week.
We, at McDowell Mountain Cycles, believe very strongly in developing our cycling community and one of the best ways we can do that is in the support, organization and leadership of rides that serve as many of our MMC family as possible. With the return of our main cycling season around the corner, we are excited to announce a bunch of fun rides for everyone.

I had a business trip end early and took advantage of the 70° days to get some local laps. These guys had a bike set up for my weight/height and pedal selection. I had a general idea of what I wanted - the guys in the shop totally hooked me up with route planning and detailed trail beta - Trailforks did the rest. Had a great time!! The Spark RC was purpose built for those trail systems!! Turn in was quick and easy. The shop looked new and fresh, good selection of accessories and equipment. I would highly recommend these guys and cant wait to go back.
